You might not be able to actually do it yet, but at least you get to try. With a musical soundtrack to keep you lifted. Advanced yoga for everybody not just the advanced. The traditional connection of the breath to the movement- the vinyasa- and a focused intention are still integral to the practice, it just goes a bit faster… If you want to have a go at something, do it. If you want to skip something, do it. Take a break, do it. Go harder, do it. You may be taking a moment in Child’s pose while the person on the mat next to you is flying up into a handstand, but as long as you’re both still breathing that victorious breath, you’re both still on The Rocket.

STRETCHING IS IMPORTANT!
It is not enough to build muscle and achieve great cardiovascular strength; you need to think about flexibility too.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
WHY STRETCHING IS IMPORTANT?
Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a healthy range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Overtime... when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way: puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I STRETCH TO SEE RESULTS?
Stretching once today won't magically give you increased flexibility. You'll need to do it over time and remain committed to the process but trust me, you’ll see and feel the difference of better flexibility.

Inner thighs:
If knees are too high in butterfly pose, move feet away from you more.
Quads:
Try 1st two variations. Last one is a lil more advanced if you’re super tight.
Back:
For beginners, try 1st & 3rd option. In 3rd one, keep shoulders down.
Set a timer and hold for a minute.

The above is a guide for you but if you’re not anywhere close to “looking like me” don’t worry! Just try your best! More importantly you feel it, and set a goal for yourselves to work on your flexibility!

In this video we will be taking a step by step movement to get into the peak pose, Camatkarasana or Wild Thing. This is considered to be an advanced pose. But wherever you are in your yoga journey, there is nothing wrong with trying to explore our body’s limits. Just bare in mind any injury when attempting this pose and always listen to your body and not push too far.
Do some prep warm ups and hip openings, shoulder opening, lengthening the spine, core works before attempting this video or any workout. Always prep your body.
For a strong warm up you can refer to one of the sun salutations (A or B) for a nice warm up of the body.
