I remember when I first started exercising almost 10 years ago, I could barely run for 5 minutes without feeling like I was about to faint. I used to suffer from really bad low blood pressure and would feel dizzy all the time whenever I exercise. I’d experience terrible period cramps monthly and couldn’t get out of bed. And no, I wasn’t an active teenager. 😅
.
I didn’t develop the strength or stamina I have today in just a matter of months. In fact, it took years of consistency to slowly build the foundation and understanding with my body. And I’m still learning every day.
.
Don’t ever COMPARE yourself or your fitness journey with someone else, especially those people you follow on social media, including me. 😉 They should act as a motivation to where you CAN be, but they shouldn’t make you feel terrible about yourself just because you can’t be like them, do their exercises or look like them. EVERYBODY NEEDS TO START SOMEWHERE. And you’re starting on your own journey right now. 💪🏼
.
This is the final weekend in January. How’s your year looking like so far? Are you working towards your goal every single day? 😎

Day 17th #burpeeswithoalchallenge #50burpeesfor30dayschallenge
1st Video was 4 years ago when I was first introduced to burpees, my trainer @lavcms taught me how to begin with burpees. My core was weak, my shoulders were weak, whole body including endurance was very very weak.
Then in November 2018 I thought of starting this challenge, but failed because I was alone and no one join me, and I alone couldn’t last more than few days.
2-5th video were some of the videos taken during #burpeeswithoalchallenge 2019 March. My sister @itsnotalwaysaboutheight pushed me to start this challenge and she get all our workout buddies then to join. Therefore almost 100 people doing it. most days I did basic burpees because my upper body strength was still not there yet. We all managed to finish our 30 days, and the feeling was indescribable. It was very powerful, inspiring and great great achievement. Everyone finished it together!
Last video, is my today 50 burpees. How I started again, it’s also because of one thought. And I told my sister @itsnotalwaysaboutheight again. Yup it’s her again, she’s always so supportive towards what I want to do. She pushed me to start it in 2021. If she’s not a pregnant lady now, I can guarantee you, she will be the most passionate challenger in the squad. Her timing has always been 50 burpees non stop, less than 3 mins.
Looking at how this round is going, I am not just overwhelmed, but it has grown bigger than me, bigger than my mere thought, so big that I am so so touched. Seeing now so many of you have become an inspiration and motivation to people around you. Seeing the community generous sharing of their growth and experience, sharing their weakness and struggle, being so real! Just because of the commitment and determination. This challenge is for overcomers. It doesn’t challenge your fitness level but it challenges your mental, your will power.
Conclusion, thought can be small, yes one person is limited, but as long as one person generate a good powerful thought, believe in it, execute it, and influence more and more people to come align with you, the energy can explode like a nuclear bomb (in a positive way).

Downward facing dog is one of the most common poses in yoga, which can either set you up for alignment in the rest of your practice, or lead to injury 😬 try these helpful tips.
Do ✅:
• Hands shoulders distance
• Spread fingers wide
• First fingers are parallels to one another, or angled slightly out if you have tight shoulders or are dealing with a wrist injury
• Root down through first finger and thumb
• Hug forearms in
• Spread shoulder blades wide.
.
Don’t do ❌:
• Hands angled inward
• Shoulders and upper arm bones internally rotating, causing the squeezing and overuse of the upper trapezIus, and impingement on the neck 🙏🏽🙏🏽 .
.
Be curious about your body, without judgment or expectation. Curiosity pulls you into the present moment, and allows you to fully experience your body and mind with joy and playfulness.

Week 2, I don't have much time as each week gets ticked off and I think i've pottered about enough on my training. My food has been very good for the past two weeks. I haven't had a cheat since the start of Phase 7, my coach told me it was going to be a hard reset on my system and I have to say it came at a great time as I got exciting news.
I was going to get my chance to be on the September COVER issue of Women's Health Malaysia Magazine!
O.M.G!!!
It has always been one of my dreams to be on the cover of a magazine. Yes I've been on them before - twice to be exact - but I've never been shot on my own before. This would be my first. Thank you again Women's Health Malaysia for giving me the chance to tell my story, I truly hope what I shared will inspire other females out there, who will in turn inspire many more females in the process.
Talking about training a lil bit, only managed to get in 4 days of training and what i consider cardio. That has to stop, i'm suppose to be getting in at least 5 days of solid training in. That has to happen this week!
In the midst of all this work continues and have fun watching snippets of the Color Run KL which finally came back to Malaysia after 3 years. Very honored and grateful that they called me back. I've hosted many runs over the course of 5 years and The Color Run will always hold a special place in my heart, cause the energy given by the crowd is a whole different level.
Some words of wisdom. I shared this a while back and just wanted to share on how to stay motivated.
For anyone starting on their fitness journey. Motivation is something very personal and it can only come from a strong source, which is yourself. When you embark on your fitness journey, ask yourself WHY.
Why do want to get fit? Whats your purpose to do so?
It is something that requires commitment and hardwork but the rewards are great. I propose this question. Because everytime you think of quitting, remember your Why. Your why needs to be strong. And when it is, you will find the strength to do what is necessary to continue forward with your journey.
Sounds deep, but this is why I call it fitness with a purpose. :)
With that, i'll leave you for this weeks Vlog. Thank you again for joining my journey. Here's to me getting better focus for this week and may you have great focus too.
