今天挑戰的台北101國際登高賽成功。很開心有機會跟我們兒子學校的家長團一起爬台北最知名的地標，好有校園精神，跟他們一起運動是我的榮幸。雖然我沒有達到我個人的18分鐘目標，慢了快4分鐘 😭 ，我學到很多。第一，我的目標太野心了，三個禮拜的訓練時間真不夠。為了這個目標我出發太快，到50樓完全沒力了，最後20層樓我腳都抬不起來了😰。今天第一次參加登高賽沒有經驗。明年要調整目標到20分鐘，將最後20-30層樓才會有力氣。但是我最驕傲的是我的運動夥伴，最強的老婆，李詠嫻 Jackie Lee。詠嫻愛跳舞跟去健身房運動，但是很討厭跑步跟爬樓梯。我們最近天天訓練，每天逼她爬更久更高，常跟我吵架，她一直覺得她爬不上去，會很慢。最後她超越她的25分鐘目標，第一次就不到23分鐘😱結束🔚！真的為她好開心。李詠嫻，妳真的好強，愛妳❤️。台北101，我們明年見！目標19:59.99！💪🏼
We had such a fantastic day climbing Taipei's most famous landmark. The International Taipei 101 Runup was a blast, so much fun😂and quite satisfying. Truly my pleasure to race with a group of extraordinary parents from my son's school. Everyone has such awesome school spirit. Although I did not reach my personal 18 minute goal, I whiffed completely by almost 4 minutes😜, I learned a lot. First, my goal was way too ambitious, three weeks of training time is not enough for our first tower🌇 climb competition. Because of my goal, I started way too fast, by the 50th floor, I was completely floored(no pun intended), felt entirely powerless the rest of the way. Literally dragging up the last 30 floors. There is a first for everything. Now armed with experience, I will adjust next years target to a slightly more modest 20 minutes, this way I will hopefully have some legs the last 20-30 floors. BUT today's highlight by far was the accomplishment of my training partner, my super wife Jackie. She loves dancing and going to the gym, but absolutely detests 🏃 and climbing stairs. She has always felt that she can't climb well and will be super slow. We have been training for three weeks, every day I force her to climb longer and higher. We even got into quite a few arguments cuz she says I push too hard. At the end, she surpassed her 25 minute goal by over 2 minutes finishing in under 23👍🏻💪🏼! I am super duper proud and truly happy for her. Jackie, what a strong climb today, you are exceptional, love you. 😘 Taipei 101, we will see you next year!
