Finally EMCO got lifted here at my area. I went out for stairs training at a condo near to my house.
Did a 10 reps of 20 floors (60 meters) at a progressive effort with the last 2 reps at a cool down pace. Whole session without the used of metronome and I am glad to complete the session this morning after more than 3 weeks of not getting any stairs training physically.
I am happy with the payback from the effort of putting in daily visualisation of my stairs training mentally.
Splits:
2:27 | 2:21 | 2:19 | 2:15 | 2:11 |
2:08 | 1:54 | 1:46 | 2:30 | 2:11 |
With a great session this morning, and EMCO is finally lifted here at my area, I will be making an attempt to clock the fastest time on the coming 15th May to run up Burj Khalifa virtually (Level 160, 628 meters, 2909 steps). I will be aiming for the 628 meter elevation climb (10 reps of 20 Floors + a rep of 10 Floors to make it 630 meters) as elevation is the most accurate unit compared to number of steps and number of floors.
*Total number of steps are different from building to building, and not forget to mention step's height as well.
*If you do not have stairs to climb, you may step up and down from a stool or chair. Measure the height of the step up. For example a 30 cm stool, take 628m (62,800 cm) divide the 30 cm each step up and you will need to do a total of 2,093.33 times of step up or make it 2,094 times.

This Saturday, I will be taking part in Virtual Burj Khalifa Charity Climb. The main objective of this charity climb is to raise fund to support the children of SOS Children's Village Kyrgystan.
I am aiming to climb the to the height of level 160 of Burj Khalifa, which is 628 meters on a 40 Floors staircase (130 meters each climb). Although there are only a total of 2,909 steps in Burj Khalifa, but the step height of each building are different from one to another.
I will need to climb a total of 4.83 times of it, which equal to 193.2 Floors in total. I will have about 2:15 minutes break between each 40 floors climb while waiting for the lift to descend back to ground floor.
I am targeting to complete each 40 floors climb in between 4:10 - 4:15 min and give my best effort on the final 33.2 floors. With that, I am looking at a total climb time of a sub 20 min will be my goal for this mission.
Link in my bio to sign up for this. With a minimum of 100 AED = RM 112.5 = 27.23 USD donation to this charity, you can then join the group chat we have and do the mission on this Saturday 22nd May 2021.
I am aiming that one day, I will climb the real staircase of Burj Khalifa to attempt multiple World Records once I got the approval from them to do it!
