คนเราเลิกกันแล้วทำไมจะต้องโกรธเกลียดกัน ทำไมเราไม่รู้สึกยินดีถ้าหากเขาจะมีความสุขกับรักครั้งใหม่ ทำไมเราไม่อวยพรเอาใจช่วยให้เขาไปกันได้ด้วยดี เหมือนอย่างใน Celeste & Jesse Forever ที่บอกเล่าคู่รักที่เลิกกันแล้วยังเป็นเพื่อนสนิทกันอย่างดีจนกระทั่งอีกฝ่ายกำลังจะเริ่มต้นชีวิตใหม่ เมื่อนั้นที่ตัวละครเริ่มรับมือความเปลี่ยนแปลงไม่ได้ เพราะในใจลึก ๆ ต่างรู้ดีว่าทั้งคู่ต่างยังคงรักกันอยู่

เพราะสุดท้ายมันก็วนกลับมาที่คำถามเดิมว่าเราคบกันเพื่อให้มีความสุขหรือมองหาคนที่เหมาะสม ในกรณีนี้ถึงแม้ทั้งคู่จะรู้ใจกันอย่างดี อยู่ด้วยกันแล้วมีความสุขแต่มีบางสิ่งที่ยังต้องปรับตัวหากัน ถ้าหากคู่นี้กลับมาคบกันก็คงไม่ต่างอะไรจากการเริ่มต้นใหม่เพราะทั้งคู่ต้องกลับไปแก้ไขในสิ่งที่เคยเป็นสาเหตุให้ต้องเลิกกัน จังหวะในหนังจึงไม่ต่างอะไรจากการบอกว่ารู้ตัวเมื่อสายเกินไป ซึ่งทำให้เราควรตอบคำถามที่ติดค้างในใจว่าทำไมคนที่เลิกกันไปแล้วจะเป็นเพื่อนสนิทกันไม่ได้ เพราะสุดท้ายแล้วเราเชื่อว่าคนเลิกกันไม่ได้จำเป็นต้องโกรธเกลียดกันหรือหวังให้เขาล้มเหลวแต่อย่างใด
