At Yayasan TM International Tower Run 2019 this morning.
Clocked a 6:09 minutes (Goal - 6:10 min) and happy to have achieve my goal.
Crowned First in Men Open and Overall Number 1 and with that, I am now World No. 1 from the ranking system from Towerrunning World Association.

So happy that I finally achieve it within the timeframe of 3 years that I set for myself since end of 2017.

Would like to thanks to my parents, my family, friends and fans, and all my sponsors on believe in me, supporting my journey to be World No. 1.

The Ranking will only update monthly. We will have to see the final race in the Towerrunning Tour 2019, which will be the Shanghai Tower Run on 24th Nov. Running up 3398 Steps, 119 Floors, 552m Elevation Climb. I need to improve my ranking there from 6th placing last year to improve the points and secure the official World No. 1 title!

It's Official Now!
June 2019 World Ranking Update.
Malaysia - Wai Ching are now Asia No. 1 | World No. 2 (Achieve my goal to be World No. 3 by end of year 2019)

In less than 3 years time, from a nobody in Towerrunning, to World No. 2. I believe that one day I will make sure our flag 🇲🇾 will be on the top spot! It's not easy to climb to where I am today, and I would like to thank everyone of you for supporting me all these while especially to my sponsors! I would not be able to fly and compete and improve my ranking without you guys. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I will work even harder to achieve another World No. 1 for Malaysia.

Hyde Park Spring 10km ✅
Mission failed 😭
Came back with a 34:15 min for 10.06km and second overall!
Lost to an Olympian, a Belgian Women Athlete with 2:30 PR on her Marathon and she was 10th placing on Berlin Marathon which earned her a slot to take part in Tokyo 2020 Olympic.
It was a tough race as the wind was so strong that blew against us! Couldn't push hard enough but I gave me best effort today.
Was leading up to 3.5km and got caught up by her and another guy (3rd placing today). Tried my best to stay with them, but only manage to keep up with 500m and start to drop back. After the first 5km lap, managed to catch up with the guy and overtook him and now down to the Olympian. I was having a 50-100m gap with her, eventually it build up to 150-200m gap. In the last 1.5km, I start to dig dip and and turn on the final gear. Closing down the gap to only 30m in the end once she crossed the finishing line. Ended up like just a few seconds after her.
Although I am not happy with my time today but I am glad that I am able to pedal the final gear from 1.5km to go and close down the gap. At one point during the last 1.5km, my mind was visualizing on overtaking her, the image is so clear, therefore I was able to push really hard for that last stretch!
