抗秋燥飲食秘笈
秋風送爽讓人感到舒暢無比,但隨之而來的是咽乾喉涸、聲音沙啞、皮膚乾燥甚至咳嗽,這也是乾燥氣候在作怪 。中醫理論認為過份乾燥就會成為燥邪,燥能抽乾身體裡的津液,令身體失於濡潤,出現燥熱症狀,是為「秋燥」。要減少秋燥對身體的影響,可以從飲食方面入手,透過以下兩招抗秋燥大法,挑選合適食物以調整身體機能。
第一招 潤肺養陰
肺主秋,秋天之氣與肺臟相通,中醫所指的肺臟,還包括呼吸道、水份代謝及免疫力等等,肺臟「上通鼻竅,外合皮毛」,燥邪可以從鼻和皮膚入侵,「燥邪傷人,容易耗人津液」,所以在秋天我們的鼻、氣管、喉嚨、肺、皮膚容易出毛病。想紓緩秋燥帶來的不適,除了多喝水補濕外,更重要是潤肺養陰,多進食具潤肺生津、養陰潤燥功效的食材,例如雪梨、雪耳、花旗參、百合、芝麻、蜂蜜、枇杷、石斛、杏仁、海底椰、玉竹、沙參等。
第二招 減辛增酸
秋天空氣濕度下降,人體水份加快蒸發,容易引致口乾、咽喉腫痛、咳嗽、便秘等症狀,所以要避免進食辛辣、烤炸食物,以免加速耗損身體津液,加重秋燥。亦要避免進食耗散陽氣的食物,例如薑、蔥、蒜、辣椒等辛辣發散之物。
秋天宜多吃「酸」,酸味食物有收斂、止澀的功效,配合秋天收斂氣之餘,酸味食物亦能刺激人體分泌更多津液,以達到潤燥的目的,不妨多吃橙、檸檬、柚子、葡萄、石榴、士多啤梨、番茄等酸性食物,紓緩秋燥不適。
Dietary tips to relieve autumn dryness
The autumn wind is cool and refreshing, but it also brings dry throat, coarse voice, dry skin and even coughing. This is due to the dry weather. Chinese medicine believes that excessive dryness can lead to the dry pathogens. Dryness can drain fluid in the body, causing the body to lose its moisture and lead to heat and dry symptoms. Tip 1- moistens lungs and nourishes yin
Autumn qi is connected with the lungs. The lungs in Chinese medicine includes the respiratory tract, water metabolism and immunity. The lungs are "connect with the nose and the outer skin", and the dryness can invade from the nose and skin. Dryness harms and easily consumes fluids, so our nose, trache, throat, lungs, and skin are prone to have problems during autumn. To alleviate the discomfort caused by autumn dryness, in addition to drinking plenty of water to moisturise, it is important to moisten the lungs and nourish yin by eating more ingredients that can moisten lungs, promote fluid, nourish yin and moisten dryness. These ingredients are pear, snow fungus, American ginseng, lily bulb, sesame, honey, loquat, dendrobium, almonds, sea coconut, radix ophiopogonis, radix adenophorae, etc.
Tip 2- less spicy, more sour
The humidity of the autumn air drops, the body fluid is evaporates at an accelerated rate, and it is easy to cause dry mouth, sore throat, cough, constipation and other symptoms. Therefore, avoid eating spicy and fried foods, to slow down the consumption of body fluid due to autumn dryness. It is also necessary to avoid eating foods that consume yang qi, such as ginger, green onions, garlic, peppers and other spicy dishes, in order to comply with the autumn chilling convergence situation.
In autumn, you should eat more "sour" foods. Sour foods have the effect to suppress sweating. Sour foods can also stimulate the body to secrete more body fluid to relieve dryness. Try to have more sour foods such as orange, yuzu, grapes, pomegranate, strawberry, and tomato to alleviate the dryness and discomfort of autumn.

人的外表是內在反映,當五臟六腑功能正常,氣血通暢,自然養顏保持年輕。都市人大多飲食沒節制,早上空腹飲果汁,甚至不吃早餐直接食沙律,或經常食寒涼生冷食物,脾胃虛弱的人多面黃,也較易長胖,因此要皮膚健康和健美就要先養胃。愛好辛辣煎炸食物會令腸胃積熱,輕則皮膚乾、出細紋,甚至乾燥搔癢或爆拆。再者,現代人返工經常接觸電腦,放工後又手機不離手,加上睡眠不足等生活習慣,加重眼睛負擔,消耗肝血,所以不想面黃黃、皮膚乾噌噌、身形走樣及眼仔無神,就要好好養胃、潤肺及明目!
健脾-番薯粟米黃豆粥
材料:番薯1個、粟米粒1杯、黃豆30克、白米1/4米杯
做法:洗淨所有材料,黃豆浸泡半小時,番薯切塊備用。鍋中加入約1500毫升水,放入黃豆,武火將之煮爛,再加入其他材料,水滾後轉至文火,待白米煮熟即可。
功效:健脾養胃。養顏及舒緩面色偏黃及浮腫症狀。
潤肺-蘋果百合川貝蜜茶
材料:蘋果1個、百合10克、蓮子10粒、川貝6克、蜂蜜適量
做法:蘋果去芯切塊,鍋內加入約1000毫升水,加入其他材料煮40分鐘,放涼後加入蜂蜜即可。
功效:潤肺養陰。滋潤肌膚及舒緩乾燥症狀。
明目—石斛枸杞子茶
材料:石斛、枸杞子各10克
做法:燉2小時即可。
功效:生津明目,滋潤雙眼。

Spicy and fried food can lead to heat in the digestive system and cause dry skin, wrinkles, or even itchiness. People also have long exposure to computer screen and cannot seem to stop using their mobile phones after work, coupled with lack of rest, it can really add to the burden of the eyes and use liver blood. To avoid yellowish complexion, dry skin, becoming out of shape and have tired eyes, be sure to strengthen your stomach, nourish your lungs and improve eyesight!
Strengthen the spleen- Soy bean congee with sweet potato and corn
Ingredients: 1 sweet potato, 1 cup of corn, 30g soy beans, ¼ cup of white rice
Preparation: rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Soak soy beans for half an hour. Cut sweet potato into pieces. Combine soy beans with 1500ml of water, cook on high heat until it starts to break apart, add in all other ingredients. Turn to low heat when its boiling and cook until white rice is cooked.
Effects: Strengthens the spleen and nourishes the stomach. Improves skin, and alleviates yellowish complexion and bloating.
Nourish the lungs- Apple tea with lily bulbs and fritillaria
Ingredients: 1 apple, 10g lily bulbs, 10 lotus seeds, 6g fritillaria, honey to taste
Preparation: Core apple and cut into pieces. Combine all ingredients except honey with 1000ml of water and cook for 40 minutes. Add in honey to taste once cooled.
Effects: nourishes the lungs and in. Moisturize skin and relieve dryness.
Improve vision- Dendrobium tea with wolfberries
Ingredients: 10g of dendrobium and wolfberries
Preparation: stew for 2 hours.

秋冬季天氣乾燥,容易造成喉嚨乾涸、咳嗽,咳嗽時可能帶痰,不時有「痰上頸」的情況,受秋燥之邪而出現的痰量少而色白、質黏,伴隨症狀為喉嚨乾癢、鼻乾唇燥、痰涎帶血絲等。秋氣與肺氣相通,中醫理論認為「肺為嬌臟,喜潤惡燥」,肺臟天生喜歡潤澤、討厭乾燥,所以秋燥容易傷及肺臟引致咳嗽生痰。想紓緩症狀,記得多飲水保持體內有足夠水份,適量進食潤肺養陰的食材,如百合、玉竹、沙參、枸杞、石斛等;適量進食潤燥養肺的水果,如梨子、杮子、甘蔗、無花果、枇杷等;減少進食辛辣燥熱的食物;有需要可適量飲用有滋陰潤燥功效的茶療。
南杏無花果百合茶
功效:滋陰潤燥,紓緩乾燥天氣引致的喉嚨乾癢、痰中帶血絲的症狀。
材料:南杏15克、無花果乾(切開)2枚、百合9克
做法:材料放入保溫瓶,南杏搗碎,以熱開水沖洗一遍,再加入熱開水焗20分鐘至香味透出即可。此茶可反覆沖泡至味淡。
備註:天氣乾燥可以一星期飲用三至四次。
按穴化痰:豐隆穴
功效:化痰、紓緩身體睏倦,痰濕、濕熱體質人士尤其適合。
位置:外踝高點上8寸,脛骨外側2橫指。
按法:此穴肉厚而硬,按壓時可用按摩棒,或用大拇指重按。

Feel like phlegm is always stuck in your throat?
The weather of autumn and winter is dry, and can cause dryness in the throat and cough, which may contain phlegm. At the same time, we can also constantly feel the presence of phlegm in the throat.
The phlegm, caused by the autumn dryness pathogens, often comes in small quantity. It is white in color and sticky in nature. Other accompanying symptoms include dry and itchy throat, dry nose and lips, and blood-streaked phlegm. The autumn’s qi and the qi of the lungs are interrelated, as Chinese Medicine theories note that “lungs are a delicate moist-loving organ”. Autumn dryness, hence, might hurt the lungs and cause individuals to cough and produce phlegm.
In order to relieve the condition, drink more water to keep the body hydrated. Consume ingredients that can moisten the lungs and nourish the yin, for instance, Lily bulbs, Polygonatum odoratum ('yu zhu'), glehnia root, wolfberry and fox nut; also, eat fruits that can relieve dryness and nourish the lungs, such as pear, persimmon, sugarcane, fig, and loquat (‘pi pa’); cut down on hot and spicy food. If needed, drink herbal tea that can nourish the yin.
Fig tea with sweet almond and lily bulb
Effects: Nourishes yin and relieves dryness. Alleviates fall time dryness such as dryness in the nasal mucosa and bloodstained phlegm.
Ingredients: 15g sweet almond, 2 dried figs (cut in half), 9g lily bulb
Preparation: Place all ingredients into thermos, crush almonds, add in hot water and steep for 20 minutes until aroma develops. This tea can be re-browed until flavour weakens.
Note: Drink consecutively for 3-4 days per week when it is dry.
Acupoint to relieve phlegm: Beautiful bulge point
Effects: relieves phlegm and dampness. Especially helpful for those with phlegm and dampness body type.
Location: outer calves above the ankle, two fingers widths from your tibia.
