8月21日清晨六點半,專機降落在颱風將至、風雨漸強的臺灣,為這次出訪中南美的賀誼專案劃下句點。此行是我就任總統以來第8次出訪,飛越了4萬2千公里,比繞行赤道一周還遠。我覺得此行在鞏固邦誼、落實合作、人道援助、過境外交及宣慰僑胞等五方面,收穫滿滿,超過預期。
11天出訪5個友邦,7個城市。幾乎每一國總統或總理都前來接、送機。特別是八月十二日深夜,巴拉圭將卸任的佛朗哥總統冒著寒流低溫(6。C )在機場與我擁抱擊掌、熱情迎接。這樣打破外交慣例的高規格接待,真的讓我十分感動。
雖然5個友邦分屬三個不同的語系:法語、西班牙語、英語,但因海地(法語)與巴拉圭(西語)的總統都曾留學美國,我們都可以用英語深入討論兩國關係,也輕鬆分享生活趣談,溝通毫無障礙。其中,最令我印象深刻的,是在海地馬德立總統私人午宴上,兩位「馬總統」合唱了「Let it be me」、「Yesterday」兩首英文老歌,及一首法文兒歌「Frère Jacques」。雖然沒先練習,但出身歌手與節目主持人的馬德立總統很會二部合唱,三曲既畢,掌聲雷動,現場貴賓High到最高點。我覺得,國際關係有不算小的部分是人際關係,如果有共同點,不只可以拉進兩人距離,對兩國邦誼也頗有幫助。
而我在聖露西亞國會演說時,特別強調「戰爭帶來衰敗,和平促進繁榮」,相關的內容獲得該國朝野員五度「敲桌」表示贊同。我首先引用該國國歌中有如史詩般的句子,「各國爭奪西方海倫(註:喻聖露西亞)的時代已經過去;戰亂給她子民帶來勞苦茫然的日子也已遠去;黎明閃亮的日子終於來到;指向新的康莊大道。」(Gone the times when nations battled for this Helen of the West. Gone the days when strife and discord, dimmed her children’s toil and rest. Dawns at last a brighter day. Stretches out a glad new way.)
從聖露西亞看中華民國,我國處於太平洋西緣,北方為日本,南方為菲律賓,隔臺灣海峽與中國大陸相鄰,原本在2008年以前緊張的臺海情勢,現在已如同加勒比海地區,開展和平穩定的新局。
兩岸關係之所以能夠改善,在於政府主張在中華民國憲法架構下,維持臺海兩岸「不統、不獨、不武」的現狀,以「一個中國,各自表述」的「九二共識」為基礎,並在「互不承認主權,互不否認治權」的務實考量下,推動兩岸和平發展,從而累積善意,建立互信。
從兩岸和平出發,中華民國同時提出「東海和平倡議」,首先在今年4月與日本簽訂漁業協定,解決了雙方爭議40多年的老問題,希望能推廣「主權不可分割,資源可以分享」的理念,讓東海成為和平與合作之海。
此外,自2008年上任推動「活路外交」開始,我就堅持中華民國的外交工作要回復正常化,秉持「目的正當,程序合法,執行有效」的三大原則來從事援外工作。這一趟賀誼之行,我親自檢視了各項援外計畫的成效,我可以很負責的告訴大家:中華民國不是一個隨便灑錢的國家,而是用誠意與行動援助友邦,受人尊敬,讓人感動。
在我看來,外交工作就好比使用機器,除了要經常操作,還得定期保養,除銹上油,讓每個零件都保持顛峰狀態。鞏固邦誼不是用說的,要常常跑、常常聯絡,就會有感情,國家元首有時間就應該常訪問邦交國,這對改善中華民國的外交處境是絕對有必要的。
訪團在這次也充分利用機會從事「過境外交」。我在紐約、洛杉磯兩地過境時間雖不長,卻不浪費一分一秒,打了12通以上的電話與美國的政要晤談,有參、眾議員,也有高層官員。也在紐約下榻的飯店跟5位美國政要見面、10位企業家會餐。我與美方政要交換對兩岸關係與東海、南海和平的看法,例如我上任後與大陸所簽訂的19項協議、今年4月和日本簽定的臺日漁業協議,以及最近我國成功處理菲國槍殺我漁民事件等,都是圍繞在「和平」的主軸上。至於在洛杉磯尚未致電的人士,我回國後也會補辦。
這次訪問,宣慰僑胞也是我的重點任務,其中以總統身分首次造訪紐約中華公所更是中華民國僑政史上重要的里程碑。我認為,近年來即使僑社結構改變,但不論老僑新僑,僑胞永遠是中華民國最有力的奧援,我們一定要努力維護與僑胞的關係。
最後,因應潭美颱風襲臺而決定提早一天返國,對我來說,這是「態度」問題;對民眾來說,這也是「觀感」問題。這次出訪整體來說相當圓滿,也希望尚未走訪的友邦未來有機會拜訪,以見證我國活路外交的成效。

From the Red Lions and combined schools band, to the mobile column and Bicentennial performances, NDP 2019 was a stirring, yet heartwarming experience for all Singaporeans. It was moving to see people from all races, religions, and walks of life come together to celebrate our nation’s birthday.
Seeing parts of our Bicentennial Story depicted in the parade reminded us that Singapore’s story stretches back before independence, and even Raffles’ arrival on our shores. Our forefathers could not have imagined how far their descendants have come building an independent, sovereign, multicultural and multi-religious country and nation. As we remember our past, let us look to the future, with hope and determination as one united people.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Some people may see my video titles as click-bait. YouTubers optimise their video's meta data for discovery due to how the algorithm is like. This isn't anything new. Most people who've been watching YouTube for years would understand this. If you're unhappy and get triggered by this, well, this channel isn't for you then. I’ve provided free workout schedules and programs since day 1 and have always optimised my meta data as such so that's not going to change.
Having said that, it doesn't mean the workout do not work. You will still see results by following a suitable program schedule, watching your diet, being in a deficit or surplus (based on your goals), doing exercises in good form, etc. These are all equally important factors. You're not going to get abs, grow a booty, grow biceps magically from 1 or 2 videos, in 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks cause everyone is different. A title may come close to suggesting that, but I've explain multiple times throughout videos throughout my channel over years that it takes time and lots of factors, so don't take a video title out of context. Targetting fat loss is also not scientifically proven. Everyone is different and it takes time.
When doing any home workouts, do take precaution to exercise in a safe environment, and if you need help or you're not seeing results, I suggest seeing a health and fitness professional to give you tailored advice on your exercise form and dietary needs. I am not a medical professional and what I share on my channel are my views and what has worked for myself. Your health and safety is the utmost importance so find out what works for you.
