自2011年敘利亞內戰爆發以來，我國與各國政府、國際組織及NGO合作推動多項援助敘利亞難民的人道計畫，協助心靈重建、提升教育設施及改善飲水問題等，另於武漢肺炎疫情期間捐贈約旦及土耳其境內敘利亞難民營及社區各項防疫物資以對抗疫情，未來也將持續以具體行動對國際人道援助工作做出貢獻，扮演國際社會良善的力量，印證「台灣能幫忙，而且台灣正在幫忙」。
MOFA recently held a ceremony to mark the donation of 140 computers by the Taiwanese government and the ASUS Foundation 財團法人華碩文教基金會 to the government of #Jordan and educational institutions in the country. Minister Joseph Wu met with CEO Sandy Wei before the ceremony to thank her for the foundation's continuing support for diplomatic assistance initiatives. Minister Wu said the donation is testament to the concern that government and civil society groups in #Taiwan have for the people of #Jordan and #Syrian refugees living there.
Vice Minister Miguel Tsao presided over the donation ceremony, pointing to the long record of #HumanitarianAssistance of Taiwanese #NGOs. The donation will boost the resources available to kids from Jordan and the children of displaced Syrian refugees, who have seen the brunt of the #COVID19 pandemic.
