local music events 在 Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Training Camp, Phuket, Thailand Facebook 八卦
Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Training Camp's very own MMA Fighter Kaiwhare Kara-france is heading off to Malaysia to fight against Philippine's Mark Stregil on October 25, 2014 in Malaysia's MIMMA Season 2 under OneFc Rules.
Kai will be fighting in the Co-Main Event of the show.
MIMMA fighters also actually trained at Tiger Muay Thai in preparation for this Saturday's Season 2 show. Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts (MIMMA) aims to nurture and grow local talents from the MMA scene by preparing a platform for amateurs to contend and put their highly honed skills and countless hours of dedicated training to the test. The tournament will consists of 7 different weight classes which are Flyweight, Bantamweight, Featherweight, Lightweight, Welterweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight.
Kai started with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 10 and got into more MMA at 15. His first MMA fight was when he hit 17.
" I was at university while fighting professionally but once I got a scholarship at Tiger Muay Thai, I took a break to focus on what I love to do, Martial Arts. I also worked part time for an Events Company.
Aside from MMA, Kai also likes Snowboarding, playing Rugby League, Soccer and interested in the latest Fashion, Trends and Music.
Kai's home gym in New Zealand is Strikeforce Auckland, NZ.
" The differences between TMT and Strikeforce is the number and quality of coaches for different martial arts, the international training partners, the consistency of training and the accessibility to everything here in Thailand. It is more affordable to train full-time here at Tiger. I love he quality of training and coaches. Also the smaller fighters for sparring partners.
As a fighter, his family, friends and his dream of competing in UFC is what inspires him.
Kai is also sponsored by Brazilian Top Team, Strikeforce, Grips, Strong Factory and Tune Talk.

May: AIT@40 Immigration & Exchange Month: We’re counting down our AIT@40 highlights month by month as we approach our AIT@40 finale! To celebrate AIT’s 40th birthday, we selected a special theme for each month in 2019 to highlight our joint accomplishments in that area. MAY was AIT@40 Immigration & Exchange Month. We organized a series of events that underscore the strong people-to-people ties that bind the United States and Taiwan. The first-ever AIT-sponsored high school exchange program took place from May 5-23, including 20 music students and teachers from Hsin Chu Senior High School, Kaohsiung Senior High School, Taichung Second Senior High School, and Wuling Senior High School. Exchange Opportunities Day brought together local high school and university students, as well as our Facebook audience via livestream, to hear from a panel of Taiwan “mentors” who had either worked or studied in the United States, before returning to Taiwan to apply their skills and knowledge.
If you want to learn more about U.S.-Taiwan People-to People ties, join the Digital Dialogue 4th Public Forum on January 17, when we’ll discuss how the United States and Taiwan could promote even closer ties between our people. Register now! https://www.accupass.com/event/1912120147227001275140

Video Title: Has KFC Conquered Asia?
"We’ve already covered McDonald’s on this channel, and, well, now it’s time for some KFC. Kentucky Fried Chicken is the world’s second largest restaurant chain after McDonald’s, with over 23000 outlets in more than 140 countries and territories around the world. Now recently, the number of KFC outlets has been declining in the US, but the company has actually continued to grow over in Asia. In fact, KFC’s largest market lies on this continent (we’ll get to that soon). KFC was founded on March 20th, 1930 in Kentucky, with its very first franchise opening in Utah in 1952. Just a year later it made its way to Canada; and in 1965 the first overseas franchise outside of North America opened in the UK. Now it’s from this point where KFC enters the Asian market (well before McDonald’s); and, in this video I’ll be taking you through the next 54 years of KFC's Asian ascension. So, which Asian country was the first to open a KFC? What did KFC have to sacrifice in order to compete with local markets? And how much of Asia is there still left to conquer, as of today? Indeed we’ll get to all of that, so grab a Zinger burger, maybe some drumsticks, and we’ll explore every Asian country to have ever had a KFC!...

[HAS MCDONALD'S CONQUERED ASIA?]
If McDonald's were a country, it's revenue would make it the 105th largest economy in the world, surpassing the GDP of Estonia, Cambodia & Afghanistan.
The number of McDonald's employees worldwide would be more than the entire population of Iceland, Barbados and Samoa.
It's a big company, but it wasn't always that way.
McDonald's was founded on May 15th, 1940 in San Bernardino, California - that's over 77 years ago - and has since expanded to a 120 countries and territories around the world, serving 68 million customers each day.
It took 27 years for the first McDonald's to appear outside of the US, and 31 years to make it's way to a second continent.
THIS continent was Asia, and in this video I'm going to take you through the next 46 years of McDonald's' Asian ascension.
So, which Asian country was the FIRST to open a McDonald's? What did McDonalds have to sacrifice in order compete with local markets? And how much of Asia is there still left to conquer, as of today?
We'll get into all of that, so grab a double cheeseburger (maybe some fries), and we'll explore every Asian country to have ever had a McDonald's.
Welcome to McAsia.
Some notable McDonald's branches in Asian countries are:
- McDonald's Japan for being the first Asian McDonald's ever.
- McDonald's Singapore for having the oldest McDonald's employee worldwide at 93 years old.
- McDonald's Malaysia for being the first McDonald's in a Muslim-majority country.
- McDonald's Turkey for being the first McDonald's in West Asia (Middle East).
- McDonald's South Korea to be the first to sell alcohol (beer).
- McDonald's Russia for having the largest McDonald's outlet in Asia in Pushkin Square, Moscow.
- McDonald's Israel for having the healthiest McDonald's in the world.
- McDonald's Saudi Arabia for oddly taking out a full page ad in a Saudi national newspaper swearing loyalty to the new crown prince.
- McDonald's India for being the first McDonald's in South Asia, as well as having the first vegetarian McDonald's in the world.
- McDonald's Pakistan for having served the Taliban at one point in time.
- McDonald's Georgia for having the chain's most exquisite outlet.
- McDonald's Iraq for only having ONE McDonald's outlet for the US Army stationed in Baghdad.
- McDonald's Kazakhstan for being the first McDonald's in Central Asia.
