I am happy to announce that on April 4 the American Institute in Taiwan and the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Representative Office signed a joint statement signaling our intent to expand the U.S.’s Global Entry program to include eligible Taiwan passport holders and Taiwan’s E-Gate program to include eligible U.S. passport holders. Global Entry allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Once the program is fully implemented, approved travelers will enter the United States and Taiwan with significantly less waiting time!
