💭2/26, yesterday was my father’s birthday.
As every year, this day, I remember more than ever some of my best childhood memories by his side.
Lacing my rugby shoes before a game, watching boxing fights together, driving his car on his knees, going to the beach together, cooking with him and so many more..

He fought like a beast against two cancers during many years, more than what doctors had predicted, but unfortunately I was in pain to see him still addicted to alcohol.
I couldn’t understand why he needed that to release his pain and we often fought together about it.

5 years ago, while eating in a night market in Taipei I got a call telling me that he left us; and the next second I started to think about all the things i wish I could have told him.

Last week I had a dream. We were together talking and sharing a drink together. Finally! I finally I had this opportunity which after he left I always regretted for not having it.
It felt amazing. I suddenly woke up, tears in my eyes with a feeling of forgiveness.
