Growing up in the arts, I gained confidence by understanding my feelings, expressing my thoughts, and connecting with others. I am lucky that I belonged to a community that celebrated music, drama and dance-- and not just academic achievement!

Thank you, Champimom for getting to know the work we do for children and families. With the opening of the #BaumhausAnnex right beside our flagship in Wanchai, we are so excited to welcome children 3 years and up in our programs in Performing Arts, Singing, Movement and Languages.

One of my students said, “The audience didn’t see my legs were shaking.” Thing is, the jitters will always be there— Courage means facing what frightens us— but going through regardless, with confidence, building experience and skill with every challenge.

I’m so, so proud of our Performing Arts students. For the past four weeks, we’ve been working on breath work and vocal support, and these little troupers don’t run away from the challenge. Hearing them sing that last note with confidence made my little heart fly. Knowing that they are between 4-7 years old makes me excited to see what more they can achieve, if this is a path they will choose to travel.
