Surprise…I present to you my epic Lockdown hairstyle!I guess all of you must have noticed that I haven’t had a haircut since the lockdown started way back in March. Oh boy, you can’t imagine how much I’ve been missing my barber during the lockdown. I was so looking forward to chop off this extra epic hair of mine.However, when the lockdown eased, I kind of had a change of mind. I didnt want to take any chances with all that was still going on. Not only could I catch Covid-19 myself, but I could also be a carrier, and since Mrs Mom is one of the people at high risk, I myself didnt want to take that risk of possibly bringing the virus back home. So, here’s the result of 6 months of my PAWSOME self with zero haircuts!My original plan was to have a haircut before school started, but again, I had a change of mind. I decided to surprise my teachers and friends at school. So on the first day back to school, Thursday 3rd September, a day after my 14th birthday, I marched back to school eager to see the reactions from my classmates. As soon as I stepped into the classroom, all heads turned, staring at me. They couldn’t recognise me, not even one of them. With my face hidden behind the mask, plus my epic hairstyle, they all thought that I was the new boy in school! It was only when I removed the mask that they realised it was me!In a way, Im actually glad that I put my haircut on hold, because I managed to see the look on my friends and teachers faces - their reaction was totally priceless - bless them! Fresh new haircuts…oh well, it’s not really a cut, but more like a trim! Fatimah and Ali both had their last trim somewhere last year during the lockdown by their Lalajee @theomarmukhtar. Yes, they are both beyond blessed to have a big brother who is super talented and good at multitasking - bless him!

But this year, we’ve been extremely busy with the reno work at #TheOldForgeCottage 🏡 since the beginning of the year plus the extended lockdown, hence their hair has been left overgrown ever since. They both have been waiting since last year for their Dadijee (grandma) to come over to give them a haircut but since the pandemic they have been kept waiting and waiting and still no luck till now. 😢💔 But luckily someone came to the rescue to give them a haircut and heal their broken hearts - all thanks to @drauntie.uk for the trim!

May these little things that we do for our children stamp not only good memories for them but also add on love and affection. Hopefully one day they will look back and see how much love they had growing up in our home…

This is our little family tradition. Most of the time we will cut our children’s hair at home. Unless it’s a more complicated cut or to change the hairstyle only then will we go to the salon. Even my sisters and I, we still look forward to have our hair trimmed by our mother even until now. It’s always one of the things that I look forward to every year whenever my mother comes over to visit - to get her magic touch on my hair even if it’s just only a lil’ trim - priceless!! 🥰

And now I am even more blessed that I have not only my husband - Mr Dad - who always helped to cut my hair especially when I’m not well and unable to go out of the house…but now I also have my eldest son @theomarmukhtar who will happily give me a trim and also my sister @drauntie.uk who just gave me a trim yesterday. May Allah bless you all for taking care of me…

Greetings from Hong Kong! Long time no hair tutorial! I have been wearing my hair like this in HK cause its a quick way for me to dress up and funk up a bad hair day. It just looks chic and artistic. It's real quick and easy. Sometimes you can wear for school or shopping or whatever you wish.

All you need is a hair band and some bobby pins. For a more dramatic look, you can always 'back comb' your hair but I'm not a big fan of hair teasing.

This hairstyle works best on longer hair tho =( If your hair is shorter, you may want to pull your ponytail lower. I'll be making more hair tutorials soon, stay well everyone.

For me the curls last super long with no styling product when I use a straightener, but like I said, this method damages your hair more :(
My hair is also naturally pin straight so curling irons do practically nothing for my hair (I don't think I'm doing it wrong either). If they succeed in curling my hair at all, it doesn't stay curled for long.
I like this hairstyle particularly because it looks like normal curls in the front but in the back...surprise :p
