瑜伽已是一門很普遍的運動,透過不同的式子,可放鬆筋骨,修飾線條,更可以讓心靜一下!原來瑜伽中最基本簡單的一套「拜日式」動作和中醫理論也有不約而同的相似之處,可以疏通經絡,令血液循環,而且拜日式主張在早上面對著太陽練習,才得此名。日出而作,早上正是人體陽氣生發的時候,因此在這時間做點運動,更可為身體增加陽氣,在這種冬日時分也有驅寒的功效!不妨在2018年的星期六輕鬆拉拉筋,由簡單的瑜伽動作開始,為身體好好調節更新!
Yoga has become a very common sport using different poses to relax your muscles, tone your shape and give yourself a quiet moment! The most basic set of movement, Sun Salutations, actually has similarities to Chinese medicine principles. They help to open up channels and meridians to promote blood circulation. Sun salutations are also done in the morning facing the sun, hence the name. A person’s yang qi is most active in the morning so exercising during this time can help to increase yang qi and dispel cold during the winter! Kick start your 2018 Saturdays with simple yoga to stretch your muscles!

QUICK TIPS
- All machines have diagrams stating the major and minor muscles being worked on.
- The first thing to look out for is the adjustment levers, which usually are bright coloured so that they stand out.
- How heavy should you lift? The weights should be heavy enough to fatigue your muscles within 8 – 15 repetitions, but not too heavy that you struggle to complete a full range of motion.
- If you are new to the movements, you can always start slightly lighter and slowly increase the weight as you get more comfortable with the machines.
