<3 重點句型：

--> 強調句用法：It was + 強調部分(可為人、物、地、時) + that...
It was me to whom the doctor spoke most often.
--> 此句亦為「強調句」，而片語speak to sb表「和...人說話」，介系詞to向前移到關代that之前，而因that前面不可有逗點及介系詞，因此that改為受格關代whom。
He called for his father again and again, a claw tightening itself around his windpipe.
--> 除了大家很熟悉的分詞構句，也要多學習一下獨立分詞構句。原句為：He called for his father..., and a claw tightened itself...，其中連接詞and被省略，主詞he以及a claw不相同，故a claw留下，再將動詞改為表主動的tightening。這是生動寫作的其中一種常見手法。

--> as though即等於as if，表「彷彿」，為假設語氣的一種，所以與過去事實相反，要改用過去完成式(had been the one...)

Defense Distributed, the company that created the first 3-D gun questionably called the “Liberator” and released the blueprint (藍圖) online "inspired" the creation of another gun by a man who identifies himself as “Joe”. This gun, called the “Lulz Liberator” is a far more powerful machine and dangerously costs a measly (微不足道的) $25 to create.
Life-saving Device
While some are constantly seeking ways to channel (導向) any sort of new technology into creating such dangerous apparatuses (器械), others are utilizing (利用) the very same to save lives. In a groundbreaking (突破性的) operation that employed (運用) the use of a 3-D printed device, a six-week-old infant closely escaped death. Kaiba was born with a rare condition called tracheobronchomalacia (氣管支氣管軟化症) where the main arteries (動脈) that led to his heart and lungs were misplaced (錯位的), squeezing his windpipe (氣管) for air. The infant survived due to an unusual surgery wherein a 3-D printed vacuum cleaner-like device was implanted (植入) into his chest to clear the airway and help him breathe. Kaiba has been taken off the ventilator (人工呼吸機) and “has not had trouble breathing since.”
