March 16 - Former foreign minister, Giulio Terzi: "Taiwan potrebber esser stato primo Paese a comunicare alla OMS che coronavirus COVID19 si stava trasmettendo da uomo a uomo.Molto prima che Cina e OMS lo ammettessero. Ovviamente, per volere Pechino, Taipei subisce esclusione da OMS da due anni." (Taiwan may have been the first country to report to WHO that coronavirus COVID19 was spreading from amongst humans, long before China and WHO admitted it. Obviously, at the behest of Beijing, Taipei has been excluded from WHO for two years.)

Independent Dutch MP Wybren van Haga stated that Taiwan has been testing on a large scale and enforcing home quarantines, successful measures in curbing the epidemic and asked why the Netherlands wasn't learning from their example.

March 18 - Chair of the Portugal-Taiwan Parliamentary Friendship Group Paulo Rios de Oliveira stated that although cases in Taiwan started to appear quite early on, they've controlled it very well with a lot of effort. Taiwan's epidemic control measures should be praised and studied.

1. Do you think science classes are important?
Well I think science classes are very important especially to young children, because the can help the children understand some basic principles behind everyday phenomenons and they can greatly satisfy the children’s curiosity as well.
And I think they can also help foster the children’s interest in science.

2. Do you have a science class in primary school?
Well, let me see. Yes, I did have one science class back in primary school.
But basically I just studied about some basic principles like why do we see the lightning before we actually hear the thunder or why does a dog’s sense of smell is more sensitive than the humans. Those are just basic everyday but they arouse my interest in science.

3. Do you like science class?
Well, for me, yes. I love science. The first thing is because they can satisfy my curiosity about everyday life. And the second thing is, when it comes to science, you can do many experiments, you can operate various equipment and you can put a lot of different substance to create some wonders. When I succeed, I feel a great sense of satisfaction.

How to be creative? You have to find inspiration, it doesn't find you.

1) I really have to care about the subject because if I don't, it's hard for me to tap into my subconscious to allow inspiration to happen. Caring about someone and something is personal. More often than not, it's a form of responsibility for me. Other times, it's pure fun and entertainment. So, if your job is to be creative, find a reason and conviction for the project at hand because caring about the project is your source of energy, so you may be brave to take the lead to dive deep into the abyss of the creative unknown.

2) If you are scared? Find inputs. Do research. Consciously feeding my subconscious mind is one of the most important steps I do for staying creative. Nothing is original. Every original man-made creation is an inspiration from everyday life, an alchemy of great ideas, or a hybrid of someone else's work. That is just the way it is.

3) Tap into your subconscious. Take time for it. Take a walk. Go for a jog. Take a shower. Now we talk about science. Our subconscious mind is the most active when we are relaxed. Our conscious mind pays attention to information all around us at the moment, but our subconscious mind contains the other 99% of the information we have come across in our entire lives. Such a powerful machine, why not tap into it? Now we wonder how many of the great ideas we know today were conceived while sitting on the toilets.
