【為臺灣養豬業注入新活水】

在這進出口的雙重考驗下，如何提升台灣豬肉的競爭力?
國立屏東科技大學National Pingtung University of Science and Technology-NPUST投入培養「養豬生力軍」，師生遠赴丹麥實習借鏡，將專業知識系統化導入台灣傳統畜牧業接班，並著手成立「熱帶養豬技術諮詢培育中心」依循台灣的氣候與產業，轉化在丹麥經驗，將之適用於台灣，成為台灣養豬產業轉型的重要力量。

🎉美台教育倡議合作新里程碑
全國第一個「雙語教育區域資源中心」9月27日在 國立中山大學 National Sun Yat-sen University（NSYSU）揭牌！今年三月在教育部與美國在台協會於中山大學舉辦的 #台美教育倡議 雙語教育研討會 中，部長潘文忠宣布於中山大學設立雙語教育培訓基地，歷經數月籌備，周一由教育部、中山大學、 文藻外語大學 Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages、美國在台協會、 Fulbright Taiwan 學術交流基金會及高雄市教育局共同見證揭牌典禮。
中山大學與文藻外語大學將攜手，分別協助區域內一般大學與技職大學提升英語授課水準，同時爭取 #美國國務院線上專業英語網絡計畫（Online Professional English Network Program）、#傅爾布萊特英語教學助理╱專家計畫，及擬訂外籍學位、交換及華語生至中小學教學訓練計畫等，冀望廣納各方資源，提高英語教學及學習成效。

🎉AIT attended the plaque unveiling ceremony of the Southern Regional Resource Center for Bilingual Education at the NSYSU on September 27 The Center was initiated and funded by the Ministry of Education (MOE) as a follow-up to the U.S.-Taiwan Education Initiative Symposium jointly organized by the MOE and AIT on March 29 at NSYSU, aimed at sharing resources promoting English as a medium of instruction (EMI) among universities and technological and vocational universities in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Taitung. AIT supports the Center’s efforts through the Department’s English-language programming, including the Fulbright Specialist and Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) programs, as well as the OPEN (Online Professional English) program.
特別感謝美國國務院英語研究員Robert Powell星期四到國立屏東大學！Powell先生過去曾在紐約市、加州、南韓和巴西教學。接下來十個月，他將在台灣任教，提供教學指導及英語學習。這期間,他也會定期到國立屏東大學帶領英語教學工作坊及教育訓練。 #AITat40 #AITat40celebration #EducationMonth
Special thanks to State Department English Language Fellow Robert Powell for visiting National Pingtung University on Thursday. With prior teaching experience in New York City, California, South Korea and Brazil, Mr. Powell will spend the next ten months in Taiwan training teachers and teaching English. He will visit National Pingtung University regularly over the next year to lead English teaching workshops and trainings.

長久以來,，國立屏東高中海洋男聲合唱團的學生，對於合唱音樂的熱情恆久不滅，於是，青年指揮家黃錦蘭老師號召優秀的畢業校友，組成「The Pure人聲樂團」，冀望以無伴奏阿卡貝拉A Capella的方式，表現人聲合唱的無限可能性。
自高中好友走向大學、社會，他們懷抱著熱忱和理想繼續在音樂之海悠遊，從教堂聖樂跨足到爵士藍調、流行搖滾等歌曲，企圖激盪出人聲重唱的美麗火花。
純粹之聲The Pure繼「2011Sing聲報到」首場售票演唱會大獲好評後，旋即又獲得「2011全國大賽團體銅牌獎及最佳人聲打擊獎」兩大獎項！甫完成2012四所大專院校校巡，及「2012無限唱癮巡迴音樂會」，在嘉義市、台南、東港、屏東藝術館、高雄至善廳演出，獲得熱烈迴響。
最近也首發單曲EP，繼續秉持追求純粹美感的精神，揉合青年的活力與創意，帶給觀眾更豐富、精彩的聽覺饗宴。

With the enthusiasm for A cappella, several students from National Pingtung Senior High School were deeply inspired by the instructor of the Ocean's sound male choir, Chin-Lan Huang, to form the A cappella vocal band, The Pure.
The members of The Pure were once of the Ocean's sound male choir. Some of them are now college students, some salarymen. They continue dedicating themselves to infinite possibilities of the vocal after graduation. What's more, they, enjoying singing, usually come back to their alma mater for practicing A cappella. The Pure's music involves various types such as Pop, R&B, Rock, Ballad, Classical, Dance and Rap.
In 2011, The Pure held their first concert in Pingtung Art Hall, impressing (so many) all the audience with their especially beautiful songs. Later, they won "the Bronze Medal Award" and "the Best Beat Box" in (the) Taiwan International Contemporary A Cappella Festival 2011. Besides, they went to the university campus in Pingtung for popularizing A cappella. The next year, more concerts were successfully held in Chiayi, Tainan, Tungkang and Pingtung, their hometown. Many people were impressed by The Pure's great performance again and again.
Recently, The Pure released the first EP titled "Pure". Hopefully, it cna bring the public more shocked, attractive and fabulous performance.
