We made watermelon macarons. We tried adding green food dye powder to the macaron and watermelon-flavored shaved-ice syrup to the buttercream filling. And this time, we finally used the "food pen"!
You love macarons. But they're hard to make. You always fail. So here is a simple recipe for making something similar to a macaron. Perfect for those of us who fail at making real macarons but want to eat as many macarons as they want! This is a true Moso-style recipe to make all of your dreams come true. It's a bit different than the real thing, but please try making it!
*Recipe*
Baking the macarons
1. Draw macaron-sized circles on the oven paper. For this recipe, about 35mm.
2. Put 1 egg white and 70g of granulated sugar in a metal bowl immersed in a hot water bath.
3. Mix with a hand mixer until fluffy.
4. Remove the bowl from the hot water bath.
5. Shake 32g of almond powder and 3g of green food dye powder (if adjusting color to your liking, just make sure the amount of dye and almond powder adds up to 35g) into the bowl through a sieve.
6. Thoroughly mix everything together.
7. Put the ingredients from '6' into a piping bag with a 1cm round tip.
8. Squeeze the mix from '7' into the guide circles from '1'.
9. Lower the temperature of the oven that was preheating at 200 degrees to 130 degrees. Place '8' in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Do not open the oven while baking.
10. After the macarons have finished baking, leave them inside the oven for another 10 minutes.
11. Once cooled, gently peel the macarons off the oven sheet.
Making the buttercream filling (an easy-to-make amount)
12. Place 2 egg yolks in a bowl and whip with a hand mixer until whitish in color.
13. Place 65g of granulated sugar and 25g of water in a heat-resistant container.
14. Put it in the microwave for 40 seconds at 600W. Remove and mix.
15. Place it back in the microwave for 1 minute and 50 seconds.
16. Slowly add '12' a bit at a time to '15' while mixing.
17. Mix until cooled to about body temperature.
18. Add 150g (divided into 3 parts) of creamed unsalted butter to '17' and mix until glossy with each addition.
19. Take 100g from '18' (refrigerate the rest).
20. Add 30mL of watermelon-flavored shaved-ice syrup to '19' and mix.
21. Use a food pen to draw a pattern on half of the macarons from '11'.
22. Sandwich the cream from '20' between the macarons.
23. If you put the macarons in an airtight container and leave them in the fridge overnight, the macaron and cream meld together and taste delicious.
24. Eat the macarons while thinking to yourself, "These look just like a cute cartoon drawing of a watermelon!"

Using the colorful "Fruit Loops" cereal, which is hard to find in Japan, we made a faux cereal bowl that you can eat whole. The gelatin bowl was filled with no-bake cheesecake, which was made to look like milk. Be careful, you can't eat this with a spoon!
*Recipe*
Making a gelatin bowl.
1. Get 2 bowls. Here, we used 18 cm and 15 cm bowls. Coat the inside of the 18 cm bowl and the outside of the 15 cm bowl with vegetable oil.
2. Place 35g gelatin in a microwave-safe container, and bloom it with 80ml of water.
3. Have 120ml of Mizore-flavored shaved ice syrup at room temperature.
4. Heat 2 in a microwave to dissolve. Be careful not to let the mixture come to boil (about 1 - 1.5 minutes in 600w microwave).
5. Gradually add 3 to 4 while mixing.
6. Gradually add 5 to a container with 200ml of room temperature water, mix.
7. Pour 6 into the 18 cm bowl prepared in step 1.
8. Submerge 15 cm bowl in 7, and secure it with a tape.
9. Chill in a refrigerator to solidify for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
10. Dip 9 in warm water for a short period of time, and carefully remove solidified gelatin from the 18 cm bowl.
11. Place a strip of parchment paper in the 18 cm bowl to make it easier to take it out later.
12. Gently replace the gelatin bowl from 10 back into 11, and remove the 15 cm bowl. Keep it in a refrigerator.
Making a no-bake cheesecake.
13. Add 8 g of gelatin in 45 g of water to bloom.
14. Beat the cream cheese, either at room temperature or softened by microwaving for 30 seconds, until smooth.
15. Add 70g sugar, mix.
16. Add 200ml whipping cream, mix.
17. Add 30g lemon juice, mix.
18. Heat 13 in a microwave for 30 seconds, and lightly mix to dissolve completely.
19. Add 18 to 17, and mix.
20. Pour 19 to 12 at once.
21. Insert a spoon, and top with your favorite cereal.
22. Chill in a refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
23. Finished! When you cut into the cake, the bowl will disintegrate in all directions. Be careful!
日本では手に入れにくいカラフルな“FROOT LOOPS” を使って、ボウルごと食べられる、なんちゃってシリアルボウル作りました。ゼリーで作ったボウルの中には牛乳に見立てたレアチーズケーキを入れてみました。スプーンは食べられないのでご注意ください。
*レシピ*
ゼリーのボウルを作ります
1.ボウルを2つ用意する。今回、直径18センチと15センチのボウルを使いました。18センチのボウルの内側と15センチのボウルの外側にサラダ油を薄く塗っておく。
2.耐熱容器にゼラチン 35gを入れ、80mlの水でしとらせておく。
3.常温のみぞれ味のかき氷シロップ 120mlを準備する。
4.2を電子レンジで沸騰させないように加熱しゼラチンを溶かす。(600wで1分~1分30秒程度)
5.4に3少しずつ入れ、混ぜる。
6.常温の水 200mlに5を少しずつ入れ、混ぜる。
7.1の18センチのボウルに6を流し込む。
8.7に15センチのボウルを沈め、テープなどで留める。
9.冷蔵庫で30分~1時間、冷やし固める。
10.9を型ごと湯に短時間つけ、18センチのボウルからゼリーを丁寧に取り出す。
11.18センチのボウルに取り出しやすくするための帯状に切ったオーブンシートをセットする。
12.10のゼリーを11にそっと戻し、15センチのボウルも外す。冷蔵庫に入れておく。
レアチーズケーキを作ります
13.水 45gに粉ゼラチン 8gをふり入れて、ふやかしておく。
14.室温に戻すか、電子レンジで約30秒加熱してやわらかくしたクリームチーズをなめらかになるまで混ぜる。
15.砂糖 70gを入れ、混ぜる。
16.生クリーム 200mlを加え、混ぜる。
17.レモン汁 30gを加え混ぜる。
18.13を電子レンジで30秒加熱し、軽くかき混ぜて完全に溶かす。
19.17に18を加え混ぜる。
20.12に19を一気に流し入れる。
21.スプーンを差し込み、お好みのシリアルをのせる。
22.冷蔵庫で2~3時間冷やす。
23.でけた。切り分けると徐々にボウルが四方に崩壊していきます。ご注意ください。
