2nd place this afternoon race International Towerrunning GrandPrix Beijing Radio and TV Tower 8 seconds behind the China Champ, Liu ZhiShen and 4 seconds ahead of another China Elite Towerrunner, Jian Bi Dong. Targeted a Sub 6:30 min as the race Course Record is 6:39 min By Zhen Wen Bo. Three of us broke the Course Record with ZhiShen 6:18, me 6:26, and BiDong 6:30 min respectively. It was a great race here, similar structure like @kltowertowerthon but shorter as we only run up to 225m. Thanks everyone for the support, especially to my parent and sponsors! First in Men Open, First Malaysian and First Overall and a New Course Record on this Morning @kltowertowerthon

Started off with a Second Overall in 2017, Fourth Overall in 2018, and now I am the First Overall in @kltowertowerthon

Very happy to come back first with the time of 9:08 minutes (new course: 200m + 2058 steps)

I always want to achieve First Overall as in the past few years there were no Malaysian claim the Overall No. 1 as we lost to Foreigner (Kenyan). I knew after 2017, I have to do something for my country Malaysia to claim the First Overall.

I would like to apologize after last year as I failed to achieve First Overall due to over confident and then things went wrong. On this morning, I know today is the day and I am much more stronger compare to where I was two years ago.

Throughout the 2058 steps, I am in the flow, I have just one thing in my mind: "Channel all my focus onto the beat, and believe it, I will win the race!"

Thanks to my parent waking up early morning and came to the race site and support me. Thanks @ravin1618 for coming and cheer for me and be the photographer to take my first photo after I come back down from the top. Thanks man!

About author

A young and dedicated athlete studied Sport Science Major in Exercise in University Malaya. Born in the year of 1994, 28th of September in Malaysia. Started his running career in the mid of 18 years old which is in the year 2012. First 10k timing were 55 minutes. And within a year of his running career, he managed to achieve Sub 40 for 10km. Now, his personal best for 5k - 16:04, 5,000m - 16:13 and 10k - 33:26, 10,000m - 35:16 minutes. Aiming to hit 5k - Sub 16 min by year 2017. His first Half Marathon timing were 1:44:51 which He did it without a proper training and is just 3 months right after he started running. In year of 2015, 1st of Feb, He managed to hit a 1:23:59 for Half Marathon with the 7 weeks Training Program. In Year 2017, he also won the Second Overall and Best Malaysian in KL Tower International Towerthon Challenge. With this achievement, it kick start his journey to participate in Vertical World Circuit. He represented Malaysia to Beijing Vertical Run as Elite Category and won 5th placing in his first vertical world circuit. He going to Shanghai, Osaka and Hong Kong for the last three vertical world circuit. Currently supported and sponsored by Garmin Malaysia, World of Sports - Mizuno, NulivScience US (Actigin), High 5 Sports Nutrition Malaysia, Lifeline ID, Beet It Sports Malaysia. He is looking for corporate to provide financial support to him to cover his expenses in joining the vertical world circuit.

Last Tuesday, I came back 2nd in 42nd Edition of Empire State Building Run Up. I am happy to be on the podium, but I know I can definitely do better for the time that I clocked. I am looking forward to come back again next year to improve my time!
