On raising our kids we try to cover every aspect
from education , Sports , lateral thinking , right & left brain user , expert in Maths & Sciences , being a linguists and most importantly having the right values - compassionate , caring , empathy to others and being respectful.
As parents ... its important to instil these characteristics from a very young age .
We mould them as we fit to become the best they can be ...
They rely on us to have the right attitude & the right stuffs.
They rely on us to be well equipped
They rely on our guidance
And its our job to give it to them .
But first we need to be knowledgeable
We need a plan to execute them ...
Have a short term , mid term and long term goals for your kids ...

My goal for my kids
To start Mandarin Class from the age of 3
To start knowing how to swim by 3
To start Maths and able to read by 4
To start an instrument by 5
To Khatam Quran by 6 years old
TaekwanDo blackbelt by 8 years old
To excel in studies ,sports and everything they put their mind to it
To attend both Mandarin & Islamic School starting from Standard One
To motivate them to become Doctors
And I still have a long list when the kids reach 12 , 18 , 25 and 28 years old.

We do plan
But Allah is the best planner .
But I do believe with the right teachings and Doa - InsyaAllah everything will turn out as planned .

今天我的 Facebook 臉書粉專突破了十萬個粉絲，從來沒有想過我竟然可以在短短的一年達到這個里程碑。也許，對於廣大的網路世界來說，這個數字可能不是特別稀奇，但對於我來說是非常有意義的。其實，大部分的人應該不知道，我千里迢迢從加州飛來台灣，是為了追尋一場戀愛，可能有點像在拍電影，不過我的初衷真的不是要來做音樂，而是我遇見了一個獨特的女孩，她讓我墜入了愛河。
就在我搬來台灣不久之後，這段感情並沒有像我想像中這麼順利，那時衝動的我又沒有做好什麼規劃，一時之間發現自己沒有工作也沒有目標，徬徨地想著是否要回去美國。
2016年年初，在一陣深思熟慮與掙扎之後，我決定給自己一個挑戰--每個禮拜做一個音樂的影片，試試看在台灣有沒有人對我的音樂有興趣。剛開始的時候真的很艱難，即使沒什麼人要看我的影片，我還是要督促自己照著計劃前進。最辛苦的時候，我的戶頭裡甚至只剩3000台幣。不過，很神奇的就是在我這麼低潮時，出現了一絲絲的轉機，開始有人觀賞我的影片、轉貼我的影片。才幾個月的時間，我從身上只有3000元的小夥子，搖身一變成為Samsung新款手機的代言人；也從3000人的粉絲團，躍昇到100000個粉絲。我在這邊要由衷地感謝每一位粉絲對我的信心，並且欣賞我對音樂的執著。
希望我的故事能夠激勵每一個擁有夢想的人，朝著目標一步一步去實踐、去實現。我憑著一股對愛情的傻勁來到台灣，失戀之後也是好幾度想要回家，但我堅持住了，即使沒有任何公司或經紀人的幫助，我還是靠著自己走到今天。我的重點絕對不是要炫耀！就像我前面提到的，我知道100000個粉絲終究也只是一個數字。今天po文唯一的目的，就是期盼能感動到螢幕另一端的你，對你內心的夢想說說話。
我相信2017年會有更大更美的事情等著我去經歷，但願神擴張我的境界，甚至超乎我自己的想像。也祝福大家在新的一年都有所突破，謝謝你們。

I hit 100,000 followers on Facebook today. I never imagined I would be able to accomplish this in just one year. In the grand scheme of things, 100,000 on Facebook isn't a whole lot. But my story... Man I came to Taiwan from California to chase after love. The majority of you don't even know... I didn't come to Taiwan because I was so passionate about pursuing music. I came to Taiwan because I met a girl and fell in love with her. But shortly after I moved here, the relationship didn't work out and I was left with no direction, no job, no goals or plans. I wanted to move back to America because my relationship failed. At the start of 2016 I decided to make weekly videos in my room to see if anybody would watch them. It was so tough in the beginning, I had to really force and push myself even when nobody watched them. When I hit rock bottom, I was down to 3,000NT in my bank account. Surprisingly, things began to pick up and people in Taiwan were starting to watch and share my videos. I went from 3,000NT in my bank to being the spokesperson for the newest Samsung Galaxy phone within several months. I went from 3k to 100k followers within a year. I want to thank every one of my followers because you believe in me and appreciate my joy in making music. I hope my story can inspire you to pursue your goals and motivate you to chase your dreams. I came to Taiwan to pursue love, didn't work out and wanted to move home many times, but I stuck through it. I had no help from any company or manager, I did it all by myself. I'm not saying this to brag about how good I am, because like I said, 100,000 is just a number. I'm only hoping that my story can reach out and speak to you. 2017 has bigger and greater things for me. God is going to take me to places where I would never imagine.

Back when I was really bad at sales, I would pace up and down before getting on a sales call.⁣

I would try to motivate myself by saying things like:⁣

“Okay Dan, you’ve got this!”⁣
⁣
“You’re the man.”⁣
⁣
“You can do this.”⁣
⁣
But when I got on the call, NOTHING went as planned...⁣
⁣
Businesses slammed their phones on me.⁣
⁣
They made fun of my accent.⁣
⁣
And I got rejected time and time again.⁣
⁣
Sound familiar?⁣
⁣
If you want to succeed in sales, know that it has very little to do with positive thinking.⁣
⁣
You can’t go to the bank and deposit positive thinking. ⁣
⁣
What you want, is a positive outcome. You want to close the deal — to get that commission check.⁣
⁣
If positive thinking doesn’t work in sales, then what do you need?⁣
⁣
I don’t believe in positive thinking...I believe in the power of negative preparation.⁣
⁣
Let me explain.⁣

Imagine yourself going into a boxing match. You’re standing there and this big, tough guy jumps into the ring with you.⁣

What do you think would happen to you if you went up against this guy with ZERO training and no preparation?⁣
⁣
That’s right, you’d get beat up...⁣

In sales, it’s the same.⁣
⁣
I’ve spoken to so many different sales “specialists” and I’m shocked at how unprepared they are.⁣

They don’t have a clue what to say, and they don’t know anything about me and my needs as a prospect.⁣
⁣
To Succeed In Sales You Need A Game Plan.⁣
⁣
If you want to succeed in sales and close more deals, you need a game plan.⁣
⁣
Nowadays, when I go in, I am always well-prepared...I want to have a plan.⁣
⁣
Which means I need a script.⁣
⁣
“But Dan, won’t I sound like a robot?”⁣
⁣
I’m not talking about those telemarketer scripts that you just say word-for-word no matter what the prospect replies. I’m talking about being prepared ahead of time.⁣

Just like in the boxing illustration, you want to study your opponent ahead of the time. ⁣
⁣
You want to prepare for their moves.⁣
⁣
If they’re a strong kicker, then you practice handling strong kicks.⁣
⁣
If they’re a strong puncher, then you prepare for their hard punches.⁣
⁣
This way, you won’t rely on hope or luck. You’ll know exactly what is going to happen and how you’re going to respond.⁣
⁣
When you go in knowing exactly where you’re going to take the discussion, and how to handle all the possible objections, you’re going to close A LOT more sales with less resistance.⁣
⁣

I made a dessert that combines flan and castella cake this time. I added mascarpone to the flan and put espresso on the castella cake as the finishing touch. This is one of my favourites.
It’s difficult to bake this recipe, so please note the following 4 points.
・All ingredients should be at room temperature
・Bring the milk to a boil
・Bake in an oven while the flan is warm
・Pour boiling water

50g sugar
20g water
20g hot water

160g mascarpone
70g sugar
250g milk
1 egg yolk
3 eggs
vanilla

2 egg whites
1 egg yolk
45g sugar
45g flour
15g milk
15g butter

Heat in a water-bath
160℃ 40min.
