Are you still using a plastic straw to drink your beverages? Did you know that Taiwan consumes over 3 billion plastic straws per year!?! We are so excited that AIT’s Green Team is helping us reduce that number. They just found biodegradable bamboo straws made in Taiwan, and in honor of Earth Day, they are going to make sure everyone at AIT can get one cheaply and easily. I am encouraging all of our staff to start using these reusable, eco-friendly bamboo straws. They are made of natural, organic material, and you can simply throw it into the compost pile when the straw begins to fray. They are also the panda’s straw of choice! To protect our shared Earth for future generations, let’s start living our lives with fewer plastic products…km
