I finally did 21km of Xiugulan River, and it is fantastic. The rafting part of the river can be divided into two sections upper (Ruisui to Qimei) and lower (Qimei to Xibolan). The upper part is is a little bit longer, and only has 1 large class II rapid at this water level. The lower part is shorter, and and has more rapids, all of which are fairly small. In my opinion, the lower section is more beautiful, so if your time is limited do that one. However, both are very nice. If you're good at staying in the fastest parts of the river, the total trip should take about 4 hours. If you're in a fat duck though, it's going to take you a lot longer.
