Gosh. I haven't posted here since 19th June.😅
Sorry folks, been crazy busy ...

We are almost ready. My kitchen is basically unusable so we had to convert 2 spaces near the front of the house for shoots. On top of that, there were technical stuff to tackle - angles, lighting, audio, color grading etc.

I know many do the simple phone + stitch-together-clips videos but that's not what I'm going for. It's not just creating YouTube videos, but also a training ground for future production so our process goes beyond mobile videography. Hence more time, practice and technical homework are needed. :)

This is a short film made to enter Moment Invitational Submission. The theme of this competition is to show suspense. This film was shot on a Samsung Galaxy S8 and filmed in Hong Kong.

I also kept the style of this short close to Hong Kong movies from the 90's with my own twist. We also purposely filmed at night to show the natural ambient lighting of Hong Kong. To achieve this we were using special camera techniques and scouting the right app to achieve them, which I will show in the upcoming videos how certain effects were achieved and done.

This video was filmed with Zhiyun Smooth Q and my Samsung Galaxy S8 at Tsing Yi Park 青衣公園 Hong Kong 香港. I wanted to try out what I learned in Japan with the Zhiyun Smooth 3 using a gimbal handheld to achieve smooth slider shots without using a slider or additional gear, as I wanted to see how well it would also work with the Zhiyun Smooth Q, which has a different design and being much lighter to hold. Will have a video soon also comparing the Smooth Q vs Smooth 3.
