Hi #Coronavirus, you’re not welcome. 😡
As the world grapples with the coronavirus, the economic impact is mounting. Following share plunge, factory shutdowns, flight cancellations, fall in customer demand in almost all industries, the world's economy could grow at its slowest rate since 2009 this year.
As a full-time emcee, inevitable event cancellations are definitely one of my concerns. Frankly speaking, I don’t even dare to imagine how long will this situation last. But I chose be positive and decided to take this opportunity to press the PAUSE button in my life.
If your work is being affected by this coronavirus like me, what I think is now would be the perfect time to sharpen your tools, instead of feeling sadistic and doing nothing at home. If you couldn’t recall when is the last time you took a class, read a book, hit the gym, learn a new language, maybe this is an opportune moment!
Lastly, all my dear friends, please take good care of yourself. Drink more water. Wash your hand frequently. Maintain social distancing. Wear a mask or stay home if you feel unwell.
Let’s stay calm in chaos and hoping we can say bye to coronavirus soon 🙏🏻💕

[MUST READ!! Repeat Of History : The Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST) & Story of At-Tufayl Ibn Amr al-Dawsi]
At-Tufayl ibn Amr was the chief of the Daws tribe in pre Islam times and a distinguished Arab notable known for his manly virtues and good works. He has been warned by the musyrikin (idol worshipper) of Mekkah not to listen to what Prophet Muhammad and let At-Tufayl tell his own stories here;
"I approached Makkah. As soon as the Quraysh leaders saw me, they came up to me and gave me a most hearty welcome and accommodated me in a grand house. Their leaders and notables then gathered and said:
"O Tufayl, you have come to our town. This man who claims that he is a Prophet has ruined our authority and shattered our community. We are afraid that he would succeed in undermining you and your authority among your people just as he has done with us. Don't speak to the man. On no account listen to anything he has to say. He has the speech of a wizard, causing division between father and son, between brother and brother and between husband and wife."
They went on telling me the most fantastic stories and scared me by recounting tales of his incredible deeds. I made up my mind then not to approach this man, or speak to him or listen to anything he had to say.
The following morning I went to the Sacred Mosque to make tawaf around the Kabah as an act of worship to the idols that we made pilgrimage to and glorified. I inserted a piece of cotton in my ears out of fear that something of the speech of Muhammad would reach my hearing. As soon as I entered the Mosque, I saw him standing near the Kabah. He was praying in a fashion which was different from our prayer. His whole manner of worship was different. The scene captivated me. His worship made me tremble and I felt drawn to him, despite myself, until I was quite close to him.
Not withstanding the precaution I had taken, God willed that some of what he was saying should reach my hearing and I heard a speech that was so beautiful that I said to myself, "What are you doing, Tufayl? You are a perceptive poet. You can distinguish between the good and the bad in poetry. What prevents you from listening to what this man is saying? If what comes from him is good, accept it, and if it is bad, reject it."
I remained there until the Prophet left for his home. I followed him as he entered his house, and I entered also and said, "O Muhammad, your people have said certain things to me about you. By God, they kept on frightening me away from your message so that I even blocked my ears to keep out your words. Despite this, God caused me to hear something of it and I found it good. So tell me more about your mission."
The Prophet, peace be upon him, did and recited to me Surah Al-Iklaas and Surah Al-Falaq. I swear by God, I had never heard such beautiful words before. Neither was a more noble or just mission ever described to me. Thereupon, I stretched out my hand to him in allegiance and testified that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. This is how I entered Islam."
Will the history repeat itself after the warning from The Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST) resembled the warning given by the idol worshippers of Mekkah to At-Tufayl Ibn Amr al-Dawsi? Most probably yes by the will of Allah...

Welcome back to the Channel and to a brand new video on my TOP 10 THINGS of what to expect when you come to Malaysia.
Couldn't think of a better time to make this video than in the beautiful month of April which just so happens to be my birthday month. And also happens to be the month in which I first moved to Malaysia.

VIDEO CONTENT
____________
I couldn't have more good things to say about this country. I love living here and I have loved every moment of being here. It was a real struggle to try and condense this video down to just 10 things because there is so much about Malaysia that I would love to share.
But I WAS able to condense them so here are:
10 things to expect when you come to Malaysia.
1. THE TROPICAL WEATHER
I think it's safe to assume that Malaysia, being situated just shy of the equator, is very much a hot country. And not only that, its humid! Malaysian mornings are usually sunny, and the afternoons over-cast and rainy. I must say though, I prefer rainy season. Its so much more exciting.
2. UNIQUE CUISINE
Because Malaysia has such a mixing pot of different cultures and nationalities and such a rich heritage, the food that has emerged here is out of this world. Malaysia is actually KNOWN for its incredible food selection and I can definitely attest to that. There is a taste for every palette.
3. MULTI-LINGUAL
Malaysia has 4 main languages; Malay, English, Chinese and Tamil, and each of them are just as important as the other. Luckily, if you can speak English you are pretty much in the safe zone.
4. GREAT AFFORDABILITY
The first question that comes to mind when travelling is always... Do I have the money?! Well luckily for you, Malaysia happens to be a very affordable country. Food is very easy to come by and you can pay near to nothing for a very hearty meal. Clothing, (local brands) are abundant and so affordable. My only criticism is the sizes are a little smaller than what I'm used to. hehe.
5. TRANSPORTATION
Due to the way Malaysia has been built, its not very pedestrian friendly. So getting around by car is always the safest option. There is public transport, but its limited. And at the end of the day, taxis, ubers and Grabs are just so much more affordable.
6. RELIGION
Like language, there are 4 main religions in Malaysia. Those religions being: Islam, Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism. But even with such a mix of religions, there is such a beautiful harmony among the people.
7. CHILLED BACK LIFESTYLE
I blame the weather for how calm and relaxed everyone is in this country. When you live with so much warmth and sunshine as you do here, I really can't blame anyone for taking things in their own time. And as much as it gets on my nerves at time, it just the Malaysian way and I wouldn't want to change it for the world.
8. MOSQUITOES
Having said that, with sunshine and warmth also come uninvited guests. Mosquitoes. Not much to say about it except... BE PREPARED!
9. GREENERY
One things that I commend Malaysia on for an exceptional job is how well they have incorporated nature and infrastructure. I love driving down the roads and seeing greenery with skyscrapers popping out here and there. It add such a lovely element to the city and gives it such a sense of life. Definitely something I hope to see more of in other cities around the world.
10. DIVERSE CULTURE
And lastly, the beautifully diverse culture there is in Malaysia. I know people from all walks of life. From every country in the world. And I've learnt so much about other people, religions, races, cultures, traditions and everything else that comes with diverse companionship.
Malaysia is truly a beautiful home and I am very proud to be able to call it that. :)
