A while ago, I saw an interesting topic on a discussion forum (based in Taiwan). The title is "Do vegans are doing better financially than non-vegans?"
Then I suddenly realized that there are some people who think to be vegan will spend a lot of money, which is definitely not the case. I mean, it could, but it doesn't have to. Vegans can live on cheap, tasty, and nutritious food. So that inspires me to share some budget-friendly vegan recipes with you. Breakfast first.
So here are 5 budget-friendly vegan breakfast ideas I want to share with you! All under or around $1.

Green Smoothie is a very popular smoothie in Japan these days. In this video, I will show you my Green Smoothie that I found very easy-to-make with low budget.
I used to add leafy greens in my every-day smoothie, but I recently realized that was WRONG.
Here are the tips for making Green Smoothie.
- use 6 fruit against 4 vegetable (but if you don't like vegetables, you can start from adding 1 leaf)
- do NOT use starchy foods because they can cause flatulence when you intake them with fruits: milk, soy milk, yogurt, carrot, broccoli stem, cabbage, eggplant, corn, pumpkin, bean, potato, etc...
- drink 40min-1hr before breakfast (you can get the most out of your drink)
- drink right after you made it (while the enzyme is active)
- best to drink 1 liter of green smoothie per day BUT what I think important is to drink it every day, so just start off from drinking a cup of green smoothie.
So now, I drink this Green Smoothie every day 40min-1hr before breakfast.
Then I drink this collagen smoothie with my breakfast, if you know. hehe

What is good about Green Smoothie is that you can alkalize your body. At the same time, you can intake more food items every day for a well-balanced diet.

Green Smoothie
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 5min
Number of servings: 500ml
Ingredients:
1/2 frozen banana*
2 pieces frozen pineapple*
1 orange
1 kiwi
1/2 apple
1/4 lemon
2 leaves green leaf lettuce (spinach, kale, whatever you like!)
100ml water
Directions:
1. Place everything in a blender / mixer and process until smooth.
2. Pour into a glass, drink as soon as possible while fresh.
*I personally prefer to freeze bananas when they are at desired taste. Also, I freeze pineapple because fresh pineapple is quite perishable.

Hey y'all! Today i'm sharing 4 poke bowl ideas that you can make at home starting from less than $1! They are so delicious, so easy to make and super healthy! Yum!
Tofu is really affordable so that made the bowl really cheap to make! You can dress it up with your favourite vegetables that are in season right now. Some of these ingredients are probably even more affordable in US or maybe otherwise but these are some of easiest to add to a poke bowl!
☆ Crispy Tofu ☆
Make sure you buy a firm tofu and not silken soft tofu. Drain the water from the tofu by wrapping it with a kitchen towel/paper and put a heavy object on top of it. Leave it for at least 30 minutes.
Then chop it up into cubes of your desired size. Take a zip lock bag and chuck all the tofu in there. Add a tablespoon of Soy sauce then shake it. A teaspoon of sesame oil and shake again! Then let the tofu absorb the sauces for about 10 minutes or more. Then coat it with some potato starch. Add little by little. Then shake it so that it is evenly coated and make sure that it is thinly coated!
Now put it in the oven at 180 degree celsius/360 degree fahrenheit for about 25-30 minutes. You may need to go up to about 200 degree celsius/400 degree fahrenheit if you have a big oven or your oven is not as hot. Adjust it based on your oven.
The tofu will turn out to be VERY crispy. Very tasty!
☆ Sea kelp Recipe ☆
You can choose to buy the pre made ones from a Japanese or Korean store.
400g Seaweed
2 TBS of Apple Cider
2 TBS Soy Sauce
1 TSP of Sesame Oil
Ginger Powder
Toasted Sesame Seeds
Cayenne Pepper
1 TSP of Monk Fruit
1 TSP of Mirin
☆ Sesame Dressing ☆
6 TBS of Toasted Sesame
3 TSP of Sesame Oil
2 TBS of Apple Cider Vinegar
2 TBS of Soy Sauce
1 TSP of Mirin or Sake
Sweetener
Filtered Water
Adjust the ingredients based on your liking.
Chuck them all in a food processor and blend it until smooth
