美國「外交」雜誌最新一篇報導，說明G7領袖聯合公報中納入台海和平安全的議題，代表「台灣海峽的危機將影響歐洲利益」的意識，越來越高漲。這篇名為：The EU’s Stake in the Taiwan Strait Issue(歐盟在台海問題上的利害關係）的報導，並說明讓七國同意這個議題被列入並不容易，內幕是：德國、法國的先頭部隊不敢決定，是到最後一天早上，才達成共識的！

報導最先指出這個聲明的意義說：「最新聲明表現岀一個海峽危機將能影響歐洲利益的意識越來越高漲」（Recent statements reflect growing awareness of how a crisis in the strait would impact European interests.）。
文中，整理出關注台海問題的用語，不斷出現的大事紀。這個句子是「我們強調台海和平穩定的重要性，並鼓勵和平解決兩岸問題」（We underscore the importance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, and encourage the peaceful resolution of cross-Strait issues.）

The inclusion of the Taiwan Strait issue as a shared agenda item – under the “Global Responsibility and International Action” heading – was not an easy decision among the seven capitals. According to political and diplomatic sources cited by a Tokyo-based news agency, before the summit, the G-7 sherpas of France and Germany argued that since the Taiwan Strait issue had been touched upon clearly in the Foreign Ministers’ joint statement a month ago already, it might not be necessary to bring up the issue in the leaders’ communiqué. France and Germany were looking to mitigate the irritations to Beijing. The U.S. and Japanese representatives, on the other hand, suggested the necessity of such a move, arguing that the situation in the Taiwan Strait is a topic closely linked to their national security and that failing to mention it would deliver the wrong impression that the leaders collectively have no concerns over the issue. The sherpas thus left the decision to the heads of state and government over the course of the summit. It was not until the morning of the last day of the summit that French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed on including the Taiwan Strait issue in the communiqué.

【「武肺疫情舒緩」，為什麼 8 成台灣學生會說成 until the coronavirus becomes better? 】

⟪文章 highlight 句⟫

「像「廁所會阻塞」、「武漢肺炎變好」這種中文就會影響到英文的表達錯誤。當用出來時，不妨問自己：阻塞真的是廁所嗎？ˊ變好的真的是武漢肺炎嗎（是病情？疫情？) ]

從武漢肺炎的爆發 (outbreak) 一直到現在，(sadly) 似乎沒有什麼什麼舒緩的現象。前幾天在口說上課時，學生想要表達「疫情舒緩」時說了，until the coronavirus becomes good / better。

我笑笑地回答他: Will the coronavirus ever become "good"?

• 這樣的錯誤生成主要有兩個原因：

1️⃣ 他在表達英文時想的是「疫情」舒緩、甚至等「疫情」變好，其中是有「情」，想表達情況。「情況」當然可以「變好」，但當產出口說時，莫名就讓情況消失，變成 coronavirus (新冠狀病毒) 了。

2️⃣ 另外一個錯誤生成原因，就是中文的影響 (cross-linguistic influence)，因為仔細想想，「等武漢肺炎好一些」，也是會在我們說出來的（邏輯奇怪）的句子。

➠ 也可以想見，把 solve a problem 講成 improve a problem 也是研究證明台灣人常出現的英文搭配詞錯誤。

• 要講「武肺舒緩」，英文習慣用:

Will the coronavirus die down by the summer?

Will the outbreak be subdued / subside in five months or will it grow into a pandemic (全球傳染)?

(或用動詞 contain 表達)
When can we really contain (控制好) the coronavirus?

• 更進一步，你可以問:
When will the coronavirus outbreak end? (是爆發去 end, 不是病毒去 end)

• 生動一點，使用 go away:
Will the coronavirus now ravaging China ever go away?

結論：英文的 output 要正確、精準、不要有中式英文，要養成「對中文做細膩思考的習慣」。

像「廁所會阻塞」、「武漢肺炎變好」這種中文就會影響到英文的表達錯誤。當用出來時，不妨問自己：阻塞真的是廁所嗎？ˊ變好的真的是武漢肺炎嗎（是病情？疫情？)

This year, the Chinese New Year falls on Friday, February 16th, beginning the year of the Dog.
The holiday lasts for six days. Taiwanese people would grasp any opportunities to go out and travel around. I don't usually go out that much during that time, though. I just hate going to a place where it's overflowing with people and I have to wait in a line for everything. It just drives me crazy. I'd rather stay at home for a cozy and a laid-back holiday. So technically speaking, I am not a fan of the Chinese New Year Holiday.
Well, family gathering might be the only thing that I anticipate. The festival always brings families together all around the world. On the Chinese New Year's Eve, we always feast on a delicious reunion dinner, or you can call it New Year's Eve dinner.

A big part of the tradition is that the married adults will give red envelopes to children or unmarried young adults. The lucky money inside is said to bring prosperity and good fortune in the coming year, The color red symbolizes luck.

On the same day, people stay up late until midnight and watch the fireworks and light firecrackers.

The next day, we hang up spring couplets on both sides of the door in order to welcome good fortune.

UNTIL用於句中：右邊的事情一發生，左邊的事情就相反。
用「直到…才…」，這種無法對稱的翻譯去解釋會很麻煩。
NOT UNTIL只是UNTIL的句子內有否定出現，倒裝而成。

DUNCHEE的意思是只有UNTIL原句左邊句子否定才能做倒裝嗎？
還是？

以例句來說
You cannot go outside/左邊 until you finish your homework./右邊
所以你不准出去除非你寫完作業→一寫完作業，就可以出去。
= Not until you finish your homework can you go outside.
倒裝成此句。

都有否定啊？
我有很認真看了例句還是不太懂XD
