I won't call myself a trendsetter and never will I think that I've the ability to be one, but there's something bothering which I'd love for you to read on.
Goals? Flawless? Perfect? I'm none of that. I'd like to think of myself that way but the truth is none of us can ever be human without flaws.
Coming onto social media and noticing how so many young girls perceive physical beauty as something so essential in their lives, going on a starving regimes, hurting and tormenting themselves just saddens me.
I don't know how else can I emphasize this, but just like most things, beauty's ephemeral.
Yeah, it's cliche and everyone says it but god dammit no one really gives an actual f about it.
Don't get me wrong, it's okay do anything to beautify yourselves. It's your skin, your body and I've no say.
I'm just saying we shouldn't put it like our main priority in life, we shouldn't do it because of the standards society set, we shouldn't try to look our best because we're uncomfortable to be ourselves in front of everyone else.
In short, it's okay to wanna look pretty and stuff, but first you have to EMBRACE your FLAWS.
I'm so small but if I could just influence a tiny fraction of you, I'm contented. At least I know I've done my best to make a difference. Even if it's an insignificant difference.
