Happy International Women’s Day! I have always known about this holiday because it falls on the same day as my dad’s birthday (happy birthday 爸爸!). However, I never thought much of it because we never really celebrated it in the US. In China it’s really different!! At some companies, women get a half day off of work and can leave the office! Thankful that we were able to grab last minute seats on a rare (currently once a week) direct flight from Brussels back to HK. Thankful that Bryan’s company provides employees with masks (they are sold out in Belgium) and hand sanitizer. Thankful to be finally going home after living out of a suitcase for 6+ weeks. Thankful we can return to HK.
