In light of recent difficulties in the export of #TaiwanesePineapples, President 蔡英文 Tsai Ing-wen launched a social media campaign to promote them, with Minister Joseph Wu calling for people around the world to support the #FreedomPineapple from #Taiwan.
Pineapples are pretty versatile ingredients, as our friends at Canadian Trade Office in Taipei | 加拿大駐台北貿易辦事處 (CTOT) and 美國在台協會高雄分處 AIT Kaohsiung demonstrated recently with (don’t look now Italy) pineapple on pizza and chicken tacos with pineapple and avocado salsa respectively. Of course, there are more traditional Taiwanese dishes like pineapple shrimp balls (don’t forget the mayo and sprinkles) and the classic #SweetTreat #PineappleCakes.
