You might be familiar with #xiaolongbao, #jiaozi and #baozi, which are all popular #dumplings in #Taiwan, but what about their Slovenian cousins, #KozjanskiKrapi, #GluhiŠtruklji and #AjdoviKrapi? Although they’re very different in constitution, they’ll all delicious!
And it’s not just love of dumplings that #Taiwan and #Slovenia have in common, we also share concerns for #PublicHealth, #PandemicPrevention and #VaccineDevelopment, all of which were topics of discussion during a video conference between Slovenian Prime Minister and Health Minister Janez Janša and Taiwanese Health Minister Chen Shih-chung yesterday. The video conference demonstrates the strength of Taiwan-Slovenia relations and exchange!
Prime Minister Janša thanked Taiwan for donations of medical supplies, mentioned how the late Slovenian Dr Janez Janež, who practiced medicine for over 40 years in Luodong in northeastern Taiwan, served as a model for medical cooperation and friendship between the two countries and praised Taiwan’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For his part, Minister Chen thanked the Slovenian government for their support of Taiwan’s participation in the #WorldHealthAssembly and reasserted the notion that #PandemicPreventionKnowsNoBorders.
