Tonight I got to meet one of my biggest inspirations of all time.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much their music mean to me all these years.
I can never forget the first time I heard “Where Is The Love”. I immediately went to the record store and bought Elephunk.
I listened to it over and over until I knew all the words in every single song. Even til this day I can recite the lyrics in my sleep.
Then there was Monkey Business, and THE E.N.D., and The Beginning.
Boy oh boy, I treated them like my holy grail.
These albums accompanied me throughout my teenage years.
All of their songs and their lyrics mean the world to me, and I was so heartbroken when they went their separate ways.
Few months ago they released “Street Livin’”, and I was so touched by the lyrics, just like the first time I heard “Where Is The Love” all those years ago.
I will never be able to put into words how much I love their music and what they do.
Thank you for bringing this beauitful music into this world.
