When you leave something for the sake of Allah, don't ever feel like you're going to lose something, because He will replace what you left with something better and He will never leave you empty handed.

Abu Qatadah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, you will never leave anything for the sake of Allah Almighty but that Allah will replace it with something better.”

When dunya is your goal and you start to compare yourself with others, for example - “oh that person’s marriage is better than mine, or he has more money than me, I want more, and it is never enough... etc”, your heart is not content and thus your are are ungrateful and unable to even recognize your own blessings which probably is even better than the person you are comparing with! Stop, check yourself and your heart. Stop comparing, recognize your blessings, be grateful and content with what you have, change your perspective & make the hereafter your goal, insha Allah. ••••••••••••

Remember, when your soul pupose is love and accumulation of dunya, forgetting the purpose of life, the end result is misery and suffering. When your soul purpose is to please Allah, when you realize that life is temporary and that it is a test, when you focus on akhirah and good deeds, then Allah takes care of you and everything falls into place. What is your soul purpose?.

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever is concerned about the Hereafter, Allah will place richness in his heart, bring his affairs together, and the world will come to him although he is reluctant for it. Whoever is concerned about the world, Allah will place poverty between his eyes, disorder his affairs, and he will get nothing of the world but what is decreed for him.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhī).
