'The Queen's Coronation 1953' exhibition will be on display in the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace through September 29, 2013

Royal Fashion Style File: Reunited for the first time since June 2, 1953, a spectacular array of dresses, uniforms, robes and gems worn by the royal family at the Queen’s Coronation go on display today at Buckingham Palace. Works of art, paintings and objects used on the day will also be on display to recreate the atmosphere of that extraordinary occasion in the largest ever exhibition to be mounted about the coronation.

The Queen's Coronation dress, robe, and outfits worn by The Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and Princess Anne, who were four years old and two years old respectively at the time, will be on display. Visitors will be able to view the Diamond Diadem, the crown made for George IV to wear at his coronation in 1821 and the crown Her Majesty wore for the journey from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey.

分別是King George IV和清宣宗「道光」。

昨晚第一次看有關King George IV (Queen Victoria 的大伯父)的事跡，全因書中一句"At his death in 1830 George IV's wardrobe was worth the equivalent of £1.2 million." 引起了我的興趣。看了wiki 更詳盡的資料後，驚嘆這位英國皇子/皇帝的花費，以及英國"國力"之強。
