This photo was taken at the end of an event I led last year in Vietnam. After 3 hours of giving energy to 80 participants, I was smiling but inside I felt depleted.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I didn't tell anyone that day but I was coping with a big personal issue. My heart was throbbing with pain.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As I sat down on the floor, 2 sisters whom I just met came and embraced me. We formed our own little fortress of hugs. And for a moment, my heart didn't ache anymore.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Surrounded by their love, I knew that everything will be okay.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For many, many years, I thought that I could do it all by myself. I took pride in self-sufficiency. I believed that if I didn't do myself, my success wasn't "legit".
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now I know I was wrong.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was just afraid to come out of my isolated shell, afraid to open my vulnerable heart.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now I'm humble enough to understand that if I want to pursue my passion, blaze my own trail, shine my light, make a difference in the world...

I need - yes, need 🙂 - support.

No one is ever "self-made". Any great person you see gets a lot of help along the way.
