DYMM Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan Johor merupakan seorang penunggang dan pemain polo yang tangkas sejak diawal usia muda. Sering bersama ayahandanya, penyertaan baginda di Singapura, Manila, Hong Kong dan pertandingan jemputan bersama Kerabat Diraja England amat dinantikan oleh penggemar sukan tersebut oleh kerana ketangkasan baginda di dalam padang.
Jejak langkah ini diikuti oleh DYAM Mejar Jeneral Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Mahkota Johor. Baginda sudah cekap bermain polo sejak berusia 8 tahun dan telah menyertai pelbagai pertandingan dalam dan luar negara. Ketika menjalani latihan ketenteraan di Indian Military Academy (IMA), baginda sangat aktif bermain polo.
Kehebatan baginda telah banyak membantu pasukan polo Rejimen 61st Calvary di India dan memenangi 13 trofi kejuaraan dalam tempoh setahun. Ianya menakjubkan kerana pasukan tersebut tidak pernah menjuarai lebih dari dua trofi setiap tahun sebelum baginda menyertainya.
DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor kini sebaris pemain handalan dunia dalam pasukan Royal Johor Polo Club bersama adindanya, YAM Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Panglima Johor dalam pasukan Johor-Ellerstina yang memiliki handicap tinggi dan membolehkan pasukan ini menyertai kejohanan polo berprestij dunia.
Kecemerlangan Kerabat Diraja Johor dalam pelbagai bidang termasuk sukan polo adalah berdasarkan prinsip yang ditekankan sejak pemerintahan Sultan Sir Abu Bakar lagi iaitu disiplin, tekun, konsisten dan sentiasa ingin maju kehadapan. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

HM Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan of Johor, has been a skilled polo player and rider even from a young age. Often spending time with His Majesty's father, His Majesty's participations in Singapore, Manila, Hong Kong and invitational competitions with the England Royal Family are always much awaited by the sport's fans due to His Majesty's proficiency on the pitch.
The footsteps have been followed by HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor. His Royal Highness has been a polo expert from the age of 8 and has participated in various competitions in and outside the country. When undergoing military training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), His Royal Highness was actively playing polo.
His Royal Highness' impressive performances helped the 61st Cavalry Regiment polo team a lot and won 13 trophies in one year. It was amazing because the team had not won more than two trophies every year before His Royal Highness joined.
HRH Crown Prince of Johor is now in the same team with world class players at the Royal Johor Polo Club along with brother HH Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Panglima of Johor, at Johor-Ellerstina, which has a high handicap that allows the team to join prestigious international polo tournaments.
The Johor Royal Family's excellence in various fields including polo is based on principles emphasised since the reign of Sultan Sir Abu Bakar, namely discipline, diligence, consistency and desire to always move ahead. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.
