Iman had a Chinese New Year party in school and wanted me to teach her how to say "Gong Xi Fa Cai" properly.

I packed some Australian peaches, apricots and cherries for her to bring to school for the potluck - they have very strict rules on what we can share with the other school kids and I know for sure that Australian fruits (and vegetables) are of premium quality, fresh, safe, healthy and above all, delicious!

I'm pretty sure most people are going with Oranges or Kam for Chinese New Year gifts right?

Because these #australiansummerfruits are NOW! In Season, I've decided to pack Aussie red cherries (auspicious colour mah), peaches (symbolizes longevity), apricots (female beauty and sexuality) and plums (youthfulness and longevity) in my gift hamper.

Fruit in abundance symbolizes prosperity so rather than just have one fruit, why not gather more premium fruits in a basket right? More ONG mah!

Gong Xi Fa Cai folks! Siapa ada open house? Saya mali bawa lu ONG manyak. 🍒🍊🍑

p/s: I bought my Aussie Summerfruits from Village Grocer. You can also get them from Jaya Grocer, Aeon, Isetan and I saw some at Ben's Publika last night too!

Happy Father's Day Bapak!

The girls woke up early to prepare his sahur of freshly squeezed carrot juice and sweet, delicious grapes (cause @joelebosi is not much of a sahur person, so they went with his fave fruit with is #nowinseasonmy.

Usually he is grumpy so early in the morning. But this made him smile. Phew!

They have now ALL gone to sleep. 😒

Australian grapes are our favourite cause I am sure they are safe to consume and so, so juicy and fresh! From soil to store, Aussie produce is always of premium quality. ❤️

Jokes aside, everyday should be Valentine's.

In reality, St. Valentine's story has little to do with heart shaped candies and roses and a lot more to do with sacrificial love. There's a LOT of hard work sustaining a relationship and keeping the sparks alive in a marriage.

My husband is romantic. But romantic practical. He told me roses would die and the chocolates will make me gain weight, so to fulfill my sweet tooth, he got me a basket of nectarines, apricots, cherries and peaches.

"Nah. We eat together later. Healthier."
