We can't say we were expecting to reach this 100,000 friends' number in Facebook already. But since the start our goal was to spread the word about this beautiful cat called Norwegian Forest Cat and we think we have achieved it with the help of all of you. We know we could not get this huge number of friends if you did not like, comment and share the pictures of our cats. Last December looking for kitties we found a stairway off the side of a road that led to a path through the woods. Jun was a bit reluctant but you CAN'T FIND A SECRET TRAIL AND NOT FOLLOW IT!! And to my surprise, it was actually full of beautiful shrines. I believe these are a part of a larger overall shrine that has even more to offer--if we can get back there again we'll show and explain the full place!
The name of the shrine is 岩崎御嶽社（いわさきおんたけしゃ/ Iwasaki ontake sya）
昨年の12月、猫を探している時にこの場所を知りました。Junはあまり乗り気ではありませんでしたが、日本のジブリ映画みたいで私は堪能しました！千と千尋の神隠しを連想する外国人は多いと思います。日本各地には本当に多くの神社がありますので、また機会があれば行ってみるつもりです。

- Shane and I went to a hidden Forest School in the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park! Everything in the school was made from resources from the forest. It was super interesting, and despite being mostly empty it was still staffed with very kind and helpful workers.
