在電腦健美網路還沒發達的時代;英文健美雜誌是國際健美資訊唯一的重要來源!記得在我的書裡頭曾經介紹過英文健美雜誌的發行史。
我自己從1970年代初開始就購買英文健美雜誌來閱讀,當年戒嚴時期在台灣唯一能公開發售的英文健美雜誌就是「Muscular Development」(不是現在的MD)。
至於當年Joe Weider的「Muscle Builder」(現在的Flex)不能進來;只能託美國朋友帶進來。
另外當年相當專業;幾乎沒有廣告的另一本健美雜誌就是Peary Rader所主編的「IronMan」(不是現在的這版本);我也有常年訂閱;一直到它收起來。
至於「Flex」(最早以前的Muscle Builder);我從1980年代開始一直訂閱到2008年為止。(如圖一)
