想跟大家分享一個好消息，​
我獲得了2021的 #黛安娜人道主義獎 The Diana Award。​

獲得這個獎，是興奮，是感動，更是意志堅定的。​
而它的意義，是肯定，是責任，更代表從今而後，持續無懼，溫柔而無畏。​

我記得收到獲獎email的那天，手機掉落在了桌面，我用雙手摀住了臉，一句話也說不出。當下發抖的我，深吸了氣嘗試和緩情緒，卻又激動的忘記了吐出。那不僅僅是因為不可置信，因為驚喜也驚嚇，更多的，是喜極而泣的感動，是無法言喻的撼動。我知道，這是一個對於從事人道救援與社會關懷的青年，莫大的殊榮，超乎言喻的肯定，但我也知道，那當下的激動，其實都不是因為我得獎，而是因為，在這個獎中，我感受到，我們的努力與相信，真的真的被看見、被支持了，衷心感謝提名人與評審團的肯定。​
​
即使很多時候，我們會因為人們的不重視，而感到灰心；會因為人們的不願信任，而感到憤怒；更會因為人們的漫不在乎，而覺得自己好像真的很傻很天真。但在這天，好傻好傻，傻到真心、全心相信，並且用盡全力在小紅帽推動著月經平權，推動著人們都不應再因為任何認同、或與身俱來的差異或特性，而受到任何不友善待遇理念的我們，是真的真的被世界聽見了。也在今天，踏出了一個前進路上的里程碑，一個讓我們可以更堅定地喊出，「我們不會放棄，會持續努力，會一直走到這個世界不再需要小紅帽的那天」，這樣一個珍貴而美好的時刻。​
​
關注月經議題，踏上推動平權的這條路，於我而言，是一輩子不做，會感到力不從心，會日日覺得不舒服，覺得無法入眠的事。這背後的原因，其實只是因為，我打從心裡相信，這世界上的每一個人，都是重要的，都應該有權利真實，也都值得被自己與他人好好對待。我也深知，要走向一切成真的那天，必須得要有更多的人，一起用自己舒適的步調與方式，從生活當中，開始改變。因此，我希望自己可以參與在這些改變之中，看見與感受改變的發生，但我更希望，自己可以不只是少數人中的一個，而是多數共識中，同樣在努力的其中一人。所以我開始了行動，踏上了倡議之路，也持續期待與呼籲，更多的人，一起成為改變的力量——因為每一個你，真的都同等重要，也都不可或缺。​
​
獲得這個獎，於我而言，除了感謝，還有提醒與責任。​
我知道，這將是我們在推動平權、消弭貧窮、嘗試讓世界可以真的一步一步邁向那更理想的樣子的這條路上，一個好難忘且意義重大的記憶。但更重要的，是從這天起，從獎項成為過去的這天起，我們更清楚地了解到，自己為什麼而做，自己想往哪走，走到哪裡。而這份肯定，也提醒著我們，接下來的路，我們將要持續無懼無畏、溫柔且堅定的走下去，無論沿途將有多少難關、挑戰、失意與磨難。​
​
這個殊榮，更提醒了我們除了在過去，也要在接下來的每一天，滿懷感謝。​
因為無論是持續相挺的夥伴們、給予我們高度信任的個案們、亦或是所有身在世界各地，選擇與我們並肩、支持我們的每一個人，都不是偶然、不是應該，更不只是幸運。我們將會持續做好手邊每一件我們所及、可以做好的小事，讓你我希望能一起看見的明天，真的有機會能發生。而我相信，這也是我與團隊最能夠表達感謝的方式，更是我們從零走到一，都不曾忘記，也不曾放棄的態度與堅持。​
​
我也想藉這個機會，謝謝所有從 小紅帽Little Red Hood 成立至今，曾經或現在仍在關注、分享我們的行動與內容產出的你；謝謝透過各種方式，支持著鼓勵著我們的你；也謝謝曾經提供我們建議、回饋、甚至是挑戰的你；更謝謝，總是與我們並肩，總是做我們最強後盾的前輩、夥伴、讀者、捐款人們，因為有你們，自始與我們一起走在這條崎嶇蜿蜒的道路上，我們才能走得如此無懼、享受、更踏實而無後顧之憂。​

感謝這片滋養我的土地，我的家，臺灣。​
作為第一位獲獎的臺灣人，我想說，能在填寫獲獎資料時，堅定且自信地與執行團隊溝通，表達我希望能在國家名單上加上臺灣的訴求，並在後來真的看見名單上加上了臺灣，是一件讓我深感驕傲與感動的事。因為是這片土地民主自由的風氣，熱情、樸實而真切勤奮的人們，讓我深信，發聲可以是如此自然的事情，而愛，也可以如此簡單卻富有力量。是這片土地孕育了我，而我希望只要有任何一丁點的機會，我都可以盡全力，讓臺灣的美與善，被更多人看見。​
​
謝謝我的家人，還有每一個提點我、叮嚀我、支持我、鼓勵我、擁抱我的摯友們。是你們，讓我相信，自己可以是一個有力量的人，也有機會能將這樣的力量分享出去，讓更多的人，同樣相信，其實我們每一個人的存在與真實，本來就足夠美好。​

我們生而不同，但正因為這些差異，而使我們各個獨特且重要。​

I have got some great news I would like to share with you all. ​
I am both humbled and honoured to be recognised as the Diana Award Recipient 2021 – one of the highest accolades a young person can achieve for social action and humanitarian efforts. ​
​
Winning this award was exciting, inspiring, and made me more determined than ever. On the other hand, the acknowledgement also meant the responsibility to continue the journey with fearlessness, gentleness, tenacity, and strength.​
​
When I received the email notifying me of winning the award, I instantly dropped my phone onto the table and covered my face with disbelief. My body was shaking. I took a deep breath to gather myself but was too excited to even remember to exhale. My emotions, however, were more than astonishment. There was immense happiness accompanied by tears of joy. I knew, for a youth striving to devote myself to providing humanitarian aid and care to society, this award was an acknowledgement beyond my imagination. The emotions which overwhelmed me was not for myself to win this award, I knew, it was that our (Little Red Hood Team) hard work and beliefs were recognised and supported! I sincerely thank the judging panel and the nominator for their appreciation. ​
​
This journey has not been easy. We have experienced frustrating times and moments that almost made up give up. But now, receiving this award meant that we are finally being heard by the world for our belief to strive for not only menstrual equity, but that people should not be mistreated for being who they truly are. ​
​
Today marks a precious milestone in the journey ahead, where we can shout with conviction that, “We will never give up! We will continue to work hard! We will work towards the day that the Little Red Hood is no longer needed!” ​ ​
​
Personally, menstrual-related issues and advocacy for equality were something that I could not ignore and keeps me up at night if nothing were being done about them. I believe that everyone in the world deserves to be themselves and treated equally. However, I knew, to achieve this goal, more people will have to change with pace and manner comfortable to each their own. I hope to be part of these changes, to see and feel the differences, moreover, I wish that more and more people could join this movement. Therefore, I began my path of advocacy and hereby encourage anyone who sees any worth in the issues I proposed, to be the difference and become a driving force for changes- because you are all equally crucial for the realisation of the future we strive for. ​
​
Today will live on as a significant memory full of gratitude, reminder, and responsibility. More importantly, this award gave us a clearer picture of why we work and where we want to work towards. It also prompts us to strive without fear, to be gentle but firm in the faces of challenges, difficulties, failures that are bound to come. This honour reminded us to live every day with gratitude because the friends, partners and beneficiaries around the world chose to believe and fight alongside us. Their supports were not mandatory, nor by chance, and not just luck.​
​
We will continue our work to the best of our ability and hopefully, make the differences needed for the future we all wished for. This, I think, is the best way that my team and I could show our appreciation and stay true to our roots. ​
​
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who followed Little Red Hood from day one and shared our content or actions; thank you for all the different forms of support you have shown. I want to further thank those who provided us with suggestions, feedback or even challenges; you fought alongside of us as predecessors, partners, readers, and doners. You gave us confidence, joy, and the ability to traverse this rugged path without worry. ​
​
I would also like to thank Taiwan, the land and home, which nurtured me with everything I needed. As the first Taiwanese recipient of the award, I confidently expressed my wish of adding Taiwan to the country list for the award. Thanks to the award development team, Taiwan was proudly added onto the list. It was the democracy and freedom of our land with the passionate, honest, and hard-working people that led me to truly believe speaking our mind was such a natural thing to do. Love is simple yet powerful. My country nurtured me to who I am today, and I would like to let more people see the beauty and the goodness of Taiwan, even if it were only a small portion. ​
​
I want to thank my friends and family, who provided me with advice, support, and encouragement. You allowed me to believe that I, myself, could become a strong person and that I could spread this belief and show everyone that simply being ourselves is good enough.​
​
We were all born differently, which is precisely why everybody is unique and important. One day, I really hope, people would no longer be restricted and affected by their inherent traits, identities, and beliefs, and that you and I could become the light in our lives and spread the warmth to others. ​

Together, we can make the world a better place. ​

「John, 我女兒Tiffany現在大一，能不能暑假到你們公司實習？她現在因為疫情的關係無法回去美國讀書」

「沒有問題啊，我們公司剛好缺國際業務，我就把她安排在業務團隊讓她試看看先做一些簡單的翻釋工作，只是一開始都是我們在花時間教育她，她不會成為即戰力，所以薪水只會是法令最低薪資可以嗎？」其實我一向不太收短期實習生，因為要花主管的時間訓練，而主管的時間也是公司寶貴的資源，而好不容易訓練起來了，他們還沒來得及為公司帶來貢獻，卻又離開了。

但是看在她是Savi跟Anna的學姐的份上，以及她媽媽平常真的是很熱於助人的家長會長，我也欣然答應， 只是沒有料到自己當初出於好心的善念，竟然會在接下來的一個月對公司出現了很大的影響力。

第一個禮拜，我怕Tiffany無聊，交給她功課，叫她去上網研究一下現在新的保養品牌的趨勢。

我沒有想到，一個禮拜後，她竟然會交出一份讓人眼晴為之一亮的報告。 簡報的內容，從排版，字體的一致性，以及堅持簡約的賈伯斯風格，重點是她不只分析出新型態的保養品牌趨勢，連他們各自的成功之道都分析的很透徹。從頭到尾沒有冷場。

我們聽完簡報之後，我在我們的主管群組傳了訊息：「我們真的是老恐龍了，今天Tiffany這份簡報非常的有價值，我們公司需要的就是這種新血，讓我們可以注入新思維」

我好奇的問了Tiffany: 「你這份簡報準備了多久啊？」

「三天」她害羞的說

「做得很棒耶，你的簡報能力跟搜尋能力是你在大學USC學的，還是在高中學的？」

「KAS prepares you well for the college， 因為我們在高中要常做報告，所以反而到了美國的大學就相對輕鬆」她這樣回答

「好，那我這星期派難一點的功課給你，你今天所報告的這些新創品牌以及明星自創品牌，你負責寫開發信給他們看看，讓他們知道台灣有一個佐研院可以為他們代工做出真正安全並且有效的保養品」

我們每星期三都會專門為代工業務開一整天的會議，討論我們如何能更進步的服務代工客戶，如何更有效的開發新客戶。

過了六天，我請Tiffany寄給我看她寫的開發信內容以及她的開發成績，我看了之後，眼晴為之一亮（again), 做了一些紀錄，決定明天跟同仁們分享一些好東西。

隔天的代工會議，當大家報告完進度後，我決定把Tiffany的開發信的內容截圖播放出來跟大家分享（沒有經過Tiffany的同意）

「你們看Tiffany寫的信內容，她是對每個客戶都做了足夠的研究，讓對方一看就知道這不是公版的信件，是有用心研究過他們的品牌核心理念，然後再把對方對品質的堅持跟我們佐研院的核心對接，讓對方知道我們會是最適合他們的夥伴。所以對方這麼有影響力的創辦人就真的回她信了」

我不吝嗇的在大家面前誇奬她，因為她才十九歲，又是實習生，其他同事不會把她當作是眼中釘。 重點是我想把好的，新的，更有效率的做事方式導入到我們的系統。

只有靠這樣的新血來給大家震憾教育，才是最快的企業文化進化。

隔週，我們的其他同仁也開始採取像Tiffany這樣先用心研究對方品牌的方式再引導對方來跟我們的殿堂合作，果然真的有效，開發信的命中率竟然提高了到了60%， 這可是很誇張的進步， 你們要知道，以前我們寄公版的開發信給300個客戶，有時連一封信都得不到回覆。

而Tiffany的進步跟影響並沒有就此停止，我又交給她新的功課，這次是幫公司寫企業介紹的英文版來申請Re100+（是一個世界級的能源永續組織）。

我只導覽帶她跟我走一次佐研院，讓她知道我們的企業跟其他企業的與眾不同之處，以及我們想要帶給台灣以及國際的影響。沒想到她又再一次寫出了一份令我驚艷的報告，直直打中我的心坎裡。

以下是我翻譯她寫的英文原文，身為創辦人的我都不確定自己的中文能否把她的好文章翻譯夠到位，但我努力看看。

JOLA INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD. is a Taiwan based company established in 2012 that focuses on manufacturing and selling skincare products. It is founded and led by CEO John Lee, who graduated from Ohio University with a Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering. Under his leadership, the company has grown to staff 120 employees in Taiwan and France.

佐見啦生技有限公司是2012年在台灣成立的公司，專注在製造跟銷售保養品。創辦人是李昆霖化工博士，畢業於俄亥俄大學。 在他的領導之下，這間公司已經成長到在台灣跟法國有120位員工。

JOLA INTERNATIONAL currently owns two brand: Timeless Truth Mask (TTM) and Jolab.

Timeless Truth Mask is a brand created out of love for skincare and
ambition to change conventional views of facial sheet masks. Starting off as an e-commerce mask brand in 2012, they soon decided to take upon a challenge and launch their products in one of the top countries for cosmetics — France. Their main goal is to debunk the belief that facial sheet masks are cheap and cannot be of the utmost quality. By doing so, TTM strives to change the overall attitude of consumers towards sheet

提提研是被創生於對保養品的熱愛以及想要改變傳統對面膜觀點的野心。2012年從電商品牌出發，他們很快就決定要挑戰上架保養品最頂級的國家-法國。他們的主要目標是瓦解面膜是廉價產品並且無法達到高品質的傳統思維，所以提提研致力於改變消費者的整體對面膜的看法。

On a basic level, Jolab can be defined as a research and development laboratory specializing in high-quality skincare products. However, it is more than just a laboratory or manufacturing facility, it is a brand. JOLA INTERNATIONAL wants to redefine conventional notions of factories by incorporating elements of a brand: emphasis on aesthetics and attention to detail. By
merging manufacturing, research and development (R&D), efficacy center, and branding aesthetics, Jolab is a brand that also doubles as a laboratory.

Jolab is created out of the desire to explore, improve, and break boundaries. They envision themselves as the leading player in Taiwanese skincare development and have already made progress to reach their goal. Jolab established Taiwan’s first Efficacy Test Center that also satisfies European safety assessments — a testament to Jolab’s promises to safety and effectiveness. As part of their determination to improve, Jolab upholds high standards against its products and its manufacturing process. Jolab works internationally on research projects with a renowned Swiss laboratory to develop exclusive ingredients. Jolab has over 30 available PIF (Product Information File) formulations available, which are a qualification for launching in theEuropean skincare market. Furthermore, all of the water used in the products are purified to the standard which qualifies for pharmaceutical manufacturing through the PIC/S standard water purification system. Through such dedication, Jolab aims to do more than just fulfill European PIF standards, further proving their determination to achieve standards above the top standards.

佐研院是為了探索，進化以及打破疆界而被創生的。 他們視自己為台灣探索保養品牌的先驅並且已經達到了許多成就。佐研院建立了台灣第一座功效室檢驗中心並且通過了歐盟的安全性測試- 來保證產品不只是安全，而且一定要有效。佐研院的高標準生產製程，以及在國際上跟瑞士知名實驗室開發出專利配方，都是他們對於不斷進步的堅持與承諾。 佐研院目前有超過三十多項產品的是通過歐盟標準PIF配方，並且全部用於製造的水都是通過藥廠等級的PIC/S淨水系統. 透過這樣的投入與奉獻，佐研院不只是達到了歐盟的PIF標準,而且還更升級達到了超越了最高標準的水平。（註1）

Through TTM and Jolab, JOLA INTERNATIONAL’s determination to constantly find ways for improvement ultimately creates impact both locally and globally. In Taiwan, TTM and Jolab are brands that stand out. Unlike traditional cosmetic brands in Taiwan, TTM started off as an e-commerce brand and aimed to market in France first. Moreover, TTM went through the hardship of acquiring PIF qualifications, despite it not being a requirement for Taiwanese cosmetic products. By creating products that fulfill more than just the bare minimum, TTM can overall increase the product quality in Taiwan by initiating a positive form of competition that benefits both companies and consumers. Moreover, by exposing Taiwanese cosmetic brands to the knowledge of international product requirements that are relatively more rigorous, it can speed up the pace of improvement. Similarly, Jolab not only improves individually but also helps to improve the entire cosmetic OEM industry by bringing and utilizing new, cutting-edge technologies that other manufacturing companies can learn from. At the same time, such improvements can change how companies and brands from abroad perceive Taiwanese companies as a whole. It may show international companies that Taiwanese companies are starting to shift from traditional business strategies and beginning to improve their product quality. More importantly, it could improve the overall national reputation of Taiwan.

透過提提研跟佐研院，佐見啦生技對於進步的執念在國際上以及地方上產生了影響。在台灣，提提研跟佐研院是突出的品牌。 不同於一般的傳統品牌，從電商開始的提提研直接攻打最難的法國市場。既便台灣法規並沒有要求歐盟的PIF規範，但提提研還是致力於達到了最難的標準。透過製造超過標準的產品，提提研提升了台灣整體保養品業界的產品品質。同時讓台灣的保養品牌同業們接觸更嚴謹的國際標準規範的知識，可以加速進步的改革。 同樣的，佐研院不只是達到了個體的進步，也藉由引進最新的技術，讓其他的代工廠可以學習，而幫助了整體代工業界的進步

如此一來，這樣的思維整體進步可以改變海外的公司跟國際品牌如何看待台灣公司。 這可以讓國際公司知道台灣的公司已經開始改變傳統便宜行事的思維以及開始提升品質。這可以提升整體的台灣國際名望。

以上是Tiffany所寫的英文文章，你們可以想像這是一個十九歲小女孩所寫出的英文文章嗎？連我這個創辦人都無法寫得比她更好，更何況她才只加入我們公司才二個禮拜。

於是我興奮的把這封信寄給了我們在美國的好朋友們，他們都是在他們各自業界的大人物，一個是物流業，一個是廣告業，我問他們看了文章後感想如何？他們都說寫得非常好，文筆流暢，觀點清楚。

於是我立刻打電話給Tiffany的媽媽，說能不能讓她休學，我好久沒有看到這麼優秀的人才了，我想要好好培養她，把她帶在身邊，跟著我一起跟美國知名廣告商開會，跟著我一起跟美方討論合資子公司，不只是因為我需要一個英文文筆很好的小助理，而是我覺得她可以為公司的思維帶來正面的影響。

我對父母提案是： 我會讓她直接可以跟美國廣告的最高執行長做報告，等到她可以回去加洲時，她就可以直接去那家知名的廣告公司上班，那可是加洲數一數二知名的廣告公司呢。

她媽媽聽到以後很開心， 但還是說要尊重她女兒的想法，畢竟那是她的人生，但她會引導她女兒說這是很難得的實習機會。

隔天，她媽媽很興奮的跟我說，她至少說服她女兒先休學半年在我們公司實習，然後還一直感謝我，說我是她女兒的貴人

「其實是因為她很優秀，就忍不住起了想要培養她的念頭」我這樣回她

昨天，Savi問我：「爸爸我以後可以打工嗎？」

「為什麼要打工？」

「因為我想賺點錢」

於是我跟她講了Tiffany來我們公司實習的故事，並且也給他看Tiffany所寫的文章是多麼的優秀。然後我跟他說：「爸爸並不是反對你打工，但重點是你選的工作是你可以從中學習，讓你變更好的人，而不是只為了存錢而打工，那就只會是浪費時間而已」

我鼓勵他，暑假有時間的話，還不如努力提升自己的能力跟思維觀點（像是大量的閱讀），就可以有機會成為像Tiffany學姐那麼優秀的人才。

「到時你的光采會如此耀眼，要讓人忽視你都很難」

我這樣的鼓勵他

註1: 最高標準的歐盟的保養品法規並沒有要求製程一定要用製藥等級的淨水器，但我們就是想要做到更好，引進了藥廠等級的淨水系統，於是超越了最高等級的歐盟法規

p.s.2 Tiffany現在才進公司第四個禮拜，已經開始直接做簡報跟美國的合作夥伴concall對談，我刻意給她舞台，讓她可以跟廣告公司的最高執行長以及營運長對談，這對她以後的職業生涯會有很好的幫助

Dear Mr. Secretary Mike Pompeo,

My name is Wang Ping-Chung, the spokesperson for the New Party, Taiwan’s political party. During the ongoing pandemic of the Covid-19, the enemy of all human beings, including the American people and Chinese people, is definitely the corona virus. However, as Secretary of State of the United States, you seem to consider China instead of the virus to be your enemy. It lets you do little in pandemic prevention but much in blaming the WHO and China. You have even made great efforts to politicalize the issue of public health in order to attack China, which reflects the United States’ prevailing concept of so-called China’s threat. Nevertheless, the real threat to the US is not China but the loss of self-confidence indeed.

我是台灣新黨發言人王炳忠。值此新冠肺炎疫情蔓延之際，對包括美國人民和中國人民在內的全人類而言，我們的敵人無疑是新冠病毒。但是，您身為美國國務卿，卻似乎認為敵人是中國而非病毒，從而在防疫工作上少有作為，一門心思都用在責怪世衛組織及中國。你甚至用盡心力將公共衛生的問題政治化，就為了打擊中國。這其實正反映了美國長期存在的「中國威脅論」思維。事實上，真正威脅美國的並不是中國，而是美國對自己信心的匱乏。

As President Franklin Roosevelt once said, “Only thing we have to fear is the fear itself.” The threat you have to fear today is not other peoples but yourselves. Even though you have done your best to shift blames on the WHO and China, the fact is already clear of the US domestic misdiagnosed cases, which had been seen as H1N1 but in fact corona virus since last autumn. It is also your fault in underestimating the severity of the epidemic while China sacrificed itself to let the world have more preparation time. Accordingly, the Covid-19 has killed more than fifty thousand people in America. As China’s population is four times larger than the US, it is quite shocking that America’s death toll due to the Covid-19 has been above China’s.

正如羅斯福總統所言：「我們唯一要恐懼的就是恐懼本身。」今天你們真正該恐懼的，不是其他國家，而是你們自己。縱使你們挖空心思要將責任推給世衛組織及中國，但真相已非常明確，那就是早在去年秋天，美國就有新冠病毒被誤診為流感的病例。甚至當中國犧牲自我，幫助世界有更多準備的時間，你們卻低估了疫情的嚴重性，種下了錯誤。如今，新冠肺炎已奪走超過五萬名美國人的生命。人口不過是中國四分之一的美國，死於新冠肺炎的人數竟已超過中國，著實是駭人聽聞。

I feel so sorry for the suffering of your people, yet it is never too late to mend. However, not only did you palm off the responsibility on others, but you also undermined international solidarity against the pandemic. Moreover, you even try to deny the status of the WHO as the coordinator for universal combat against diseases, which in some way means challenging the global institutions under the governance of the United Nations. It is so unbelievable that the United States, viewing itself as the world leader above half a century, is tending to destroy the world order recognized by the international society. The very reason I can think of is the loss of America’s self-confidence. It is the threat to both the US and the whole world.

我為貴國人民的遭遇感到遺憾。事實上，現在亡羊補牢，猶未晚也。然而，你卻只忙著將責任甩鍋給別人，甘為全球抗疫戰鬥中的害群之馬。你甚至想否定世衛組織作為全球抗疫協調者的地位，在某種程度上等同挑戰聯合國下的國際體制。超過半世紀以來總將自己視為世界老大的美國，如今竟然要破壞國際社會公認的秩序，這真令人難以置信。我唯一能想到的理由，就是美國已喪失了昔日的自信，這不僅對美國是一大危害，同時也威脅到全世界。

For Liberalists in the United States, China has been believed either an opponent or a violator to international institutions. As far as it’s concerned, there had been debates whether to keep containing China economically and militarily or engaging it institutionally. Both were resulted from America’s confidence in its leadership. Consequently, the confidence gradually changed into arrogance, luring the United States into aggressions upon other countries as the global superpower without permission from the UN Security Council. It made America exhausted at last. Therefore, the United States has become an isolationist, and even a betrayer to the global institutions they established before. On the contrary, China seems more like a protector of the world order.

對美國的自由主義者而言，中國長久以來被視為是國際體制的反對者或破壞者。在這種思維下，從而產生美國對中國政策的爭論，探討是否應繼續以經濟及軍事手段遏制中國，或者改以引導的方式使中國融入國際體制。事實上，以上兩種想法都源自對美國領導能力的信心。這種信心逐漸變成一種傲慢，驅使美國在缺乏聯合國安理會同意下，依然發動對其他國家的侵略。這些對外侵略最終拖垮了美國，使美國元氣大傷。如今，美國變成了孤立主義者，甚至背棄過去自己建立的國際體制。反之，中國還更像是國際體制的捍衛者。

On the other hand, for Realists, the predominant thinkers in international politics, China has been seen as the primary rival to America. As they estimate there will be threat if any other regional hegemony occurs, the nation’s fear becomes beyond what its capability can hold. To some extent, this is the real crisis to your people. In fact, different from western nations developing themselves by oppressing and exploiting others, the Chinese people have risen out of poverty at the cost of blood, sweat, and tears of our own. I would like to remind you of Franklin Roosevelt’s self-evident words that nothing to fear but fear itself. The only threat you should conquer is the threat in your mind.

另一方面，對國際政治中的主要流派，也就是現實主義者來說，中國一直被當作美國的首要對手。根據他們的理論，一旦有任何其他區域強權出現，便會對美國產生威脅。這種對威脅的恐懼，實際上已非美國國力可以負荷。這種恐懼其實才是美國真正的危機。事實上，不同於西方國家靠侵略他人成就自己，中國崛起靠的是自己的汗水和血淚。容我再次引用羅斯福總統不辯自明的話：「除了恐懼本身，我們無須恐懼。」你真正須要戰勝的威脅，其實就是你的心魔。

As Henry Kissinger has argued, relations between China and the United States need not – and should not – become a zero-sum game. He also suggested that China and America build a Pacific community with each other. Thinking in the same way, Chinese President Xi also claimed that the vast Pacific Ocean has enough space for the two large countries of China and the United States. Furthermore, I believe the world is large enough to embrace different political and social systems. As western liberalism in recent years has met difficulties in over-consumption and government failure, we should be more open-minded to the superiority of Chinese governance in some fields, especially the high efficiency in defeating the epidemic. The United States should also be more self-confident to have China rising under the global governance of international institutions, sharing with mutual benefits instead of destroying each other. Without doubt, only by doing so can the United States overcome the real threat and bring the world peace and prosperity, the real universal values for all mankind.

正如季辛吉所言，中美關係不應該也不必要變成零和博弈。他並倡議中美兩國應該締造太平洋共同體。中國國家主席習近平也從同樣的思路出發，呼籲太平洋之大應同時包容中美兩個大國。我想，世界之大也同樣能包容不同的政治及社會制度。近年來，西方自由主義遭遇了不少難題，諸如過度消費、政府失能……等。我們實在應該用更開放的態度，學習中國在一些領域中的治理優勢，尤其是在此次抗疫中展現的能力。美國也應更自信地接納中國，接受中國在全球治理的國際體制下崛起，和中國共享利益，而非相互毀滅。無疑地，唯有藉由如此，美國才能戰勝其真正的威脅，也才能為世界帶來和平與繁榮──那才是人類真正的普世價值。

最近疫情已經從亞洲向全球開始擴散，當初一開始聽到時還以為是小事，可是當事情發展至今我覺得是時候以我的微薄之力發聲了。做了這首歌不是為了給大家帶來無謂的希望（畢竟這類的歌已經夠多了），而是想試著讓我們稍微反思並且意識到在災難面前所有爭論都是無意義的。此外近期除了這次疫情也發生了很多其他的災害，也希望我們不要無視這些大自然的警告，而是從你我開始避免未來同樣的事件重演。最後還是要向災區的醫護人員致敬，帶著這份決不畏懼的精神，他們才是真正戰場上的英雄。

Recently the virus has been spreading not only across Asia, but also around the world. And just like everyone else, I wasn't expecting such a huge impact at first. Now realizing how wrong I was, I've decided to speak up about the situation. One thing I'd like to make clear is that my intention with this song isn't to provide any kind of hope—as they've already existed everywhere—, but instead to try and make us reflect and re-evaluate ourselves, which may hopefully lead to the realization that any argument at this point is meaningless. Moreover, aside from this outbreak, there are plenty incidents of natural disasters happening lately as well. This song also serves as a reminder for us to not neglect these warnings so we could prevent the future crises. Finally, to all the medical staff involved in this battle, we must salute you as you are the real heroes and deserve our wholehearted respect!

Facing the corona virus pandemic, we need love instead of hatred, and peace instead of war. However, the US government still cannot give up its battle with China, even though it’s a critical time to combat against the pandemic in solidarity with one another. It seems that President Trump only cares how to palm off his responsibility on the WHO. Taiwan, the vassal of the US, has even carrying out the racist campaign against Dr. Tedros, which is truly a shame for anyone from Taiwan who has any sense of justice.

面對新冠肺炎的疫情，我們需要的是愛而非仇恨，是和平而非戰爭。然而，即使現在是舉世團結抗疫的關鍵時刻，美國仍放不下與中國的爭鬥。川普總統似乎只關心如何將責任甩給世衛組織。至於作為美國附庸的台灣，甚至對譚德塞發動種族主義的霸凌。任何有正義感的台灣人，都會為此感到羞愧。

Dear Lady Gaga, since you praised Dr. Tedros publicly, you’ve been the newest target for those clicktivists to attack. Nevertheless, I believe it matters nothing to you, for you never minds how others see herself. Showing who you are and conveying how you’re thinking, you have such great charisma that you attract millions of fans all over the world. Fortunately, we have you and those excellent singers reminding us that human beings are one world confronted with the pandemic.

親愛的女神卡卡，由於妳公開讚揚譚德塞，妳已經成了那些鍵盤俠最新的攻擊目標。當然，我相信妳一點都不會在意，因為妳從來不在意別人的眼光。正是這樣展現自我、暢所欲言，妳的人格魅力擄獲了全球無數的粉絲。我們何其有幸，能夠有妳及那些優秀的歌手，提醒了我們在疫情之前，全世界就是一家人。

We shall thank Dr. Tedros for doing his best to solidify universal efforts to defeat the pandemic. Moreover, we shall definitely thank China for sacrificing itself to give the world more preparation time, except for Taiwan, the largest island of China, in which the officials and media insist referring to Covid-19 as Wuhan virus, regardless of the WHO’s demand to avoid naming the disease with any discriminatory word.

前半と違って、といったニュアンスが含まれますね。

下げてからカバーする使い方もできますよ！
