Hey working moms and dads! How much you do pay for a child at the nursery? The fees are quite high right, according to the nursery centre part of the factors are the operating cost is getting higher too. Recently, I got to know there are some savings for the registered nurseries.

20% off electric bill for registered nursery. MESTECC and Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat (KPWKM) collaborated on the Program Galakan Pendaftaran Taman Asuhan Kanak-Kanak (TASKA) by providing a 20% electricity bill discount to TASKA employers / owners registered with the Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM). The 20% discount on electricity bills comes from saving the Incentive Based Regulation (IBR) mechanism in the Peninsula.

To this end, MESTECC provides an allocation of RM10 million which will be discounted from November 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020. The government hopes this initiative will not only help entrepreneurs / owners reduce TASKA's operating costs but will also increase TASKA's registration with JKM for purpose of monitoring for the welfare and safety of children in TASKA.

For starters, did you know that six Power Plant Projects were cancelled, saving RM 11.4 billion for customers?

MESTECC has canceled 4 independent power projects (IPPs) and 2 hydro power plant projects which have been approved previously. 5 projects are in Peninsular Malaysia and 1 in Sabah. With the cancellation of these 5 projects in Peninsular Malaysia, MESTECC has enabled savings of RM 11.4 billion for a total of 20 years

Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change, Yeo Bee Yin, said the cancellation following the non-compliance with the conditions provided in the letter of offer by the developer would optimize the cost of electricity supply capacity
