" Xin chào mọi người, mình là Hồng Hạnh. hiện đang học lớp 11 THPT chuyên Nguyễn Huệ. Hôm nay là câu chuyện đạt 8.0 IELTS từ 4.5 của mình, hy vọng chia sẻ hữu ích với các bạn ạ.

Trước hết, mình là học viên tại IELTS Fighter với 3 lớp F458B, A419, B132. Mình vừa tham gia thi IELTS trên giấy ở IDP và được chọn thi speaking trước hoặc sau khi thi viết 1 ngày. Nếu các bạn tự tin với kĩ năng nói của mình thì nên đăng kí thi nói trước nhá, đỡ áp lực cho hôm sau nhiều lắm đấy.

Trong suốt quá trình thi thì chỉ tập trung duy nhất vào cái mình đang làm, quan trọng nhất là đừng để bị phân tâm nhé.( Trong lúc thi Listening, mình cứ lo bài Reading sắp tới nên nghe xót mất 2 câu luôn :( )

Ngày thi chính thì sẽ phải ngồi liền gần 3 tiếng (có thể đi vệ sinh khi thi đọc và viết nhưng sẽ bị trừ mất vào thời gian làm bài) nên mọi người nhớ đi vệ sinh trước nhé. Hôm đi thi mình hơi chủ quan xong rồi phải cố nhịn để không mất thời gian làm bài ấy.

🎯 A. Trước khi học IELTS

Mình nghĩ việc đầu tiên các bạn cần làm là hiểu được mình đang đứng ở đâu và muốn đi đến đâu. Nghĩa là trước hết cần xác định trình độ hiện tại của mình cũng như là mục tiêu mà mình hướng tới.

Như mình đây, học hết cấp 2 mình chưa biết tí gì về IELTS cả, khi đó mình cũng không thích học Tiếng Anh lắm nên thi tốt nghiệp THCS mình chỉ được 5 điểm thôi :) Lên cấp 3 thì mình xác định rõ mình cần chứng chỉ IELTS để du học nên mình đặt mục tiêu học từ 4.5 lên 7.5 IELTS trong 1 năm. Với mục tiêu cụ thể này, mình đã có được một động lực vô cùng lớn và không bị bỏ cuộc giữa chừng :)))

🎯 B. Quá trình học IELTS

- Chọn trung tâm

Sau khi cân nhắc một thời gian thì mình chọn IELTS Fighter do trung tâm có nhiều cơ sở trải khắp Hà Nội nên mình có thể học gần nhà, rất thuận tiện cho việc đi lại , giá cả còn “hạt dẻ” nữa. Sau khi học ở đây thì mình đánh giá (với mức học phí đó) chất lượng trung tâm rất ổn với giáo viên nhiệt tình và có chuyên môn.

- Vấn đề tự học ở nhà

Mình khẳng định với các bạn rằng không một trung tâm nào có thể khẳng định kết quả đầu ra cho các bạn nếu các bạn không nỗ lực và đầu tư thời gian tự học. Bên cạnh học trung tâm thì bạn cần cố gắng học tại nhà nữa, dựa theo những hướng dẫn của giáo viên.

Mình chia sẻ một số kinh nghiệm tự học thế này ạ.

🎯 C. CÁCH MÌNH LUYỆN VÀ TỰ HỌC 8.0 IELTS TẠI NHÀ

1. Học bao nhiêu cho đủ?

Do hạn hẹp về mặt thời gian, mình chỉ dành 1 tiếng tự học những hôm có lịch học trung tâm và 1 tiếng rưỡi đối với những ngày còn lại (nhưng mình luôn tập trung 100% mỗi khi học để tránh lãng phí thời gian).

Mình lên một thời gian biểu tự học hàng ngày dựa theo mục tiêu của mình. ình mong muốn điểm thi Listening và Reading cao hơn 2 kĩ năng còn lại nên mình dùng các “buổi 1 tiếng rưỡi” cho 2 kĩ năng này..

Ngoài ra mình cố tạo điều kiện cho bản thân tiếp xúc với Tiếng Anh nhiều nhất có thể để bù đắp lại sự thiếu hụt về thời gian học (bằng cách xem phim, nghe nhạc, đọc sách hay thậm chí là chơi game có Tiếng Anh)

2. Học cái gì cho hiệu quả?

(cái này mình sẽ viết theo từng kĩ năng một nhé)

1. Listening và Reading, dùng Cambridge (7-15)

Ngoài sách học tại trung tâm, củng cố kiến thức đầy đủ và luyện đề, bài tập bổ trợ thì bộ Cam là bộ mình tâm đắc duy nhất cho 2 kĩ năng trên bởi mọi thứ trong sách đều là đề thật, có kèm đáp án và tapescript cho bài nghe.

Điểm trừ duy nhất là không có giải thích chi tiết cho các bài đọc (nhưng các bạn lại có thể tìm được chúng dễ dàng trên mạng hoặc tham khảo sách giải đề của Ngọc Bách IELTS).

Với bài Listening trong cambridge thì mình tìm và nghe video trên youtube vì có thể điều chỉnh được tốc độ (mình thường nghe tốc độ bình thường vào lần nghe đầu, thậm chí bạn nào nghe yếu hơn có thể nghe 0.75 và nâng lên dần dần trong những lần sau, và mỗi audio thì mình nghe lại ít nhất 3 lần với các tốc độ khác nhau).

Bản thân mình khi mới học Listening có một vấn đề là mình rất hay viết sai chính tả kể cả những từ đơn giản nhất (mình đã từng viết beech trong 1bài test thay vì beach :)

Mình khắc phục điều này bằng cách viết lại tất cả những từ mình nghe thấy được kể cả những từ đơn giản nhất (trừ những từ không quan trọng như tên riêng hay mấy từ kiểu cảm thán ấy …) trong lần nghe đầu rồi mới chọn đáp án, lần nghe thứ hai mình dừng lại ở các từ mới để cố gắng viết được bọn nó ra mặc dù chưa biết cách viết và lần cuối cùng là nghe với tapescript để kiểm tra chính tả các từ.

Cách này đã giúp mình điền được đúng từ trong bài thi thật chỉ bằng cách nghe mặc dù chưa hề nhìn qua từ đấy bao giờ.

Mặc dù không có lời giải thích đi kèm nhưng mình vẫn khuyên các bạn luyện Reading theo Cambridge bởi các bạn sẽ không sợ mindset của mình bị lệch lạc so với bài thi IELTS thật (Mình đã xem qua khá nhiều sách Reading khác nhưng thật sự không thấy hài lòng vì đáp án bài đọc không thuyết phục,nhất là mấy phần T/F/NG)

Mỗi buổi tự học Listening hay Reading thì mình làm 1 test trong cambridge sau đó dành thời gian kiểm tra lỗi sai và quan trọng nhất là GHI CHÚ TỪ VỰNG, CẤU TRÚC MỚI.

Đặc biệt chú ý đến các từ mang ý nghĩa khẳng định, phủ định và các từ được PARAPHRASE. (À mình học các từ đồng nghĩa( hoặc trái nghĩa) với nhau bằng cách viết từ vào 2 mặt của flashcard rồi xem lại mỗi ngày trước khi đi ngủ)

Ngoài ra không phải cứ luyện đề thì khả năng nghe và đọc mới lên đâu, mọi người có thể xem phim, đọc báo, như mình đã nói ở trên (nên nghe và đọc cái gì mình thích chứ không tham xem cái khó, để có thể duy trì được lâu dài nhá).

Nhưng nếu mà đã là làm bài hoặc luyện đề thì mình nghĩ chỉ nên trung thành với bộ sách Cambridge là quá đủ rồi.

2. Writing: the Internet

Mình là một đứa rất lười viết (mình không hề đặt bút luyện viết và căn giờ cho đến 2 tuần trước hôm thi) nên thay vào đó mình đọc khá nhiều bài mẫu ở các nguồn uy tín như (Liz, Simon...) rồi cố gắng tóm tắt lại các bài này bằng cách viết lại ý chính và các mẫu câu, từ vựng mình thích.

Với task 2 thì mình nghĩ các bạn nên search và đọc qua hết 24 chủ đề chính và lên ý tưởng.

Củng cố ngữ pháp bằng sách: English grammar in use. (Mình thích chú tâm vào ngữ pháp trong bài thi viết bởi yếu tố từ vựng phụ thuộc khá nhiều vào câu hỏi mà bạn nhận được.)

3. Speaking: The Internet

Với speaking mình cũng không học theo sách nào cụ thể cả. Chiến thuật của mình là tập trung vào pronunciation và fluency để vượt qua tất cả các câu hỏi mà không cần học thuộc từ trước (vì đằng nào đi thi chắc chắn mình cũng sẽ run và không thể nhớ được cái gì :) ).

Ngoài ra việc tập trung vào 2 tiêu chí trên cũng giúp bạn nói tự nhiên hơn mà không cần ghi nhớ nhiều bởi chúng là “kĩ năng“. Mình còn nhận ra một điều là chú tâm vào pronunciation giúp mình nghe tốt hơn rất nhiều và thế là một công đôi việc nhé.

Tóm lại mình học Speaking bằng cách tìm cho mình một partner (như đi học trung tâm, mình có thầy cô giáo hướng dẫn và chữa lỗi cho nhiều lắm. Sau đó mình luyện với Partner là bạn bè của mình). Mình nghĩ cứ nói tự nhiên và nhờ partner chỉ ra lỗi sai cho mình để khắc phục thôi.

Khi nào partner của mình bận thì mình tự hỏi rồi tự trả lời luôn xong ghi âm để nghe lại. Mỗi chủ đề thì mình cũng có tham khảo các từ vựng speaking hay trên mạng rồi lưu về luôn (nhưng mình chỉ chọn vài ba từ mà mình thật sự thích và cảm thấy dễ học chứ không tham học nhiều để rồi không ngấm được cái nào).

- Part 1 : Đây như kiểu vòng khởi động ấy.Các bạn nên trả lời đơn giản và đúng trọng tâm, cố gắng giữ bình tĩnh và sự trôi chảy, không cần vòng vo, hay trả lời quá phức tạp.

- Part 2 : Mình luôn cố gắng bám sát cue card để tiết kiệm thời gian lên ý tưởng, nhờ đó mình có dùng dùng toàn bộ 1 phút cho việc viết ra những từ hoặc cấu trúc hay mà mình có thể dùng .Cố gắng trả lời hết 4 câu gợi ý trong cue card và coi nó như là 4 câu hỏi ở part 1 thôi, thế là bạn có một bài nói hoàn chỉnh ( ít nhất cũng phải được 1 phút rưỡi rồi )

- Part 3: Mình vẫn giữ vững lập trường, đơn giản, phù hợp và đúng trọng tâm. Mình hay học chung speaking part 3 và writing task 2 với nhau.

‼️Mình nghĩ, trước khi thi thật 2 tháng thì mọi người nên thi thử 1-2 lần để quen với tốc độ làm bài và không khí phòng thi, cũng là để kiểm tra trình độ của mình nữa. Thế thôi ạ, tốc độ tiến bộ của mỗi người là khác nhau và phụ thuộc vào rất nhiều yếu tố, nhưng chắc chắn có luyện tập thì sẽ có tiến bộ thôi nên các bạn đừng nản chí nhé!

Và nếu được, việc lựa chọn học trung tâm sẽ góp phần thúc đẩy bạn học tập tốt hơn, có định hướng, học tập với thầy cô giáo và bạn bè sẽ có môi trường phát triển kỹ năng nhiều hơn nữa nhé. Thời đó mình học cả online và offline đều có điểm tốt riêng vì mình học offline trực tiếp với thầy cô trên lớp thì không khí gần gũi và cảm giác thực chiến còn khi học online thì tiện lợi ở nhà vẫn được thầy cô giáo chia sẻ rất nhiều. Thời kỳ nghỉ dịch, cô Quỳnh Anh hỗ trợ và chia sẻ thêm nhiều tài liệu, hướng dẫn mình nhiều qua online, thực sự rất cảm ơn cô ạ.

คู่บัดดี้ดำน้ำในถ้ำสองท่านนี้คือนักดำน้ำในถ้ำที่เก่งที่สุดในโลก เจ้าของสถิติโลกการดำน้ำในถ้ำที่ยาวที่สุดกว่า 9 กิโลเมตรในสเปนเมื่อปี 2011

Rick Stanton เป็นนักดับเพลิงในโคเวนทรี ผู้ซึ่งได้ได้แรงบันดาลใจในการดำน้ำในถ้ำจากการดูสารคดี Underground Eiger เกี่ยวกับนักดำน้ำสองคนที่พยายามทำสถิติโลกการดำน้ำในถ้ำในตอนนั้น และทำให้เขาตัดสินใจได้ว่า การดำน้ำในถ้ำคือสิ่งที่เขาอยากจะทำ

แม้ว่าพวกเขาจะพบเด็ก ๆ แล้ว แต่นั้นก็นำมาสู่ปัญหาต่อไปว่าจะพาเด็ก ๆ ออกมาอย่างไร เมื่อทางเลือกอย่างการเจาะถ้ำนั้นยังไกลจากความเป็นจริง และระดับของออกซิเจนในถ้ำที่ลดลงจนเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่นำมาสู่การเสียชีวิตของจ่าเอกสมาน กุนัน อดีตนักทำลายใต้น้ำ/จู่โจมของกองทัพเรือไทย ประกอบกับ #พยากรณ์อากาศ ที่เชื่อว่าจะมีฝนตกลงมามากกว่านี้ในอีกไม่กี่วัน ทำให้พวกเขาต้องเลือกทางที่เสี่ยงที่สุด เป็นทางเลือกที่ทุกคนไม่เชื่อว่าจะเป็นไปได้ และไม่เคยมีใครทำมาก่อนในโลกนี้

คือการให้เด็ก ๆ ดำน้ำออกมาทางเดิม!

นั่นทำให้ทั้งสองได้ร้องขอไปยังเจ้าหน้าที่ของไทย ให้เชิญ Dr. Richard Harris วิสัญญีแพทย์ชาวออสเตรเลีย นักดำน้ำในถ้ำที่มีประสบการณ์ 30 ปี ผู้ถือสถิติการดำน้ำในถ้ำน้ำเย็นจัดลึก 194 และ 221 เมตร ที่เชื่อกันว่าคือสถิติที่ลึกที่สุดในการดำน้ำในถ้ำในน้ำเย็นจัด เพื่อตามหาต้นกำเนิดของแม่น้ำ Pearse ในนิวซีแลนด์ ที่พวกเขาต้องวางแผนที่สลับซับซ้อนในการจัดตั้งแคปซูลกู้ภัยในถ้ำเพื่อปรับความดันและหยุดพักในน้ำที่อุณหภูมิใกล้ศูนย์องศา ซึ่งการดำน้ำของเขาในครั้งนี้เมื่อปี 2011 และ 2012 ได้นำไปทำเป็นสารคดีโดย National Geographic ด้วย

Dr. Richard Harris คือผู้ที่ประเมินสุขภาพของเด็ก ๆ ทั้ง 13 คน และตัดสินใจเปลี่ยนแผนในถ้ำเป็นการนำเด็กที่อ่อนแอและมีปัญหาสุขภาพที่สุดออกมาก่อนเด็กที่แข็งแรงที่สุด Dr. Richard Harris คู่บัดดี้ และตำรวจออสเตรเลียอีก 6 นาย ถือเป็นหนึ่งในหลายสิบชีวิตของทีมดำน้ำในถ้ำที่ดีที่สุดทั่วโลกที่ถูกเรียกตัวมายังจังหวัดเชียงรายเพื่อปฏิบัติภารกิจที่ยากที่สุด เสี่ยงอันตรายที่สุด และไม่เคยมีใครทำมาก่อนในประวัติศาสตร์ของมนุษยชาติ!

This is one of the two songs I did on my (first) trip to America. I did this with my team in LA, they are the most amazing and nicest people I've ever met hehe! :) We sat down and started out with just a sample and some piano lines. We experimented alot until we got the beat first, then the melody and so on. And its amazing how we started out from scratch and made it into a song.
I find this song to be something that everyone can relate to, including myself because when we were thinking of the song title I was kinda thinking about how everyone's running, chasing after something, just like in a race. And in a race you (obviously) have to cross the finish line to win. So I thought, why not have a song called finish line? Because everyone's running for a prize. And well, some times there's only one prize, and all kinds of things just try to put you down. But through this song I wanted to tell whoever's listening to not lose focus. I want to encourage you not to give up and keep running... so, run so you may obtain your prize. :)

Dies ist einer der beiden Songs, die ich auf meiner (ersten) Reise nach Amerika gemacht habe. Ich habe das mit meinem Team in LA gemacht, sie sind die erstaunlichsten und nettesten Menschen, die ich je getroffen habe! :) Wir setzten uns hin und begannen mit einer Probe und einigen Klavierlinien. Wir experimentierten viel, bis wir zuerst den Beat, dann die Melodie und so weiter bekamen. Und es ist erstaunlich, wie wir von Grund auf neu angefangen haben und es zu einem Song gemacht haben.
Ich finde, dass dieser Song etwas ist, mit dem sich jeder identifizieren kann, einschließlich mir selbst, denn als wir an den Songtitel dachten, dachte ich irgendwie darüber nach, wie jeder läuft und etwas jagt, genau wie in einem Rennen. Und in einem Rennen muss man (offensichtlich) die Ziellinie überqueren, um zu gewinnen. Also dachte ich, warum nicht einen Song namens Finish Line haben? Weil jeder um einen Preis kandidiert. The production company behind the viral hit 「TOKYO BON 2020」- Cool Japan TV - the leading influencer marketing company, gathered Asia’s Top YouTubers in this Bon dance version of TRF’s remix song「BOY MEETS GIRL 2020」together with one of the largest music entertainment companies, avex entertainment.
 
This collaboration saw DJ KOO and Namewee presenting their RAP segment with multilingual lyrics ranging from Japanese, English and Chinese. The setting of the MV goes back to the 1990s when Japanese pop music and culture craze swept through Asia. For Namewee who grew up listening to J-POP, he shared with DJ KOO on how teenage love was never that smooth-sailing. This was reflected in the song “Fateful encounter is like a life-time treasure hunt”, DJ Koo then responded with new lyrics “Life might be a journey of suffering, only to make us stronger and kinder. Let’s continue to search for what matters most.” This dream collaboration aims to deliver their words of encouragement to everyone.
 
The highlight of this bon MV goes to the guest appearance of global well-known Japanese artist  Piko Taro. Together with participation of the Asia Top YouTubers, this MV humbly resonates to DJ KOO’s vision of "One Asia, One World”. The Bon dance was choreographed by Ukon Takafuji, the heir of the Takafuji clan with over 100 years of history. More guests such as Olympic gold medalist skater Hiroyasu Shimizu, avex artist group callme and Lala from Molly Fantasy also gave their support.

The MV also includes the first concert performance of this song at Paris, France where the “Japan Expo 2018” was held and garnered interest from 15,000 audience. DJ KOO expressed “With the upcoming 2020 Olympics, Japan will be the growing center-of-attraction. We hope to bring about Japan’s culture and appeal to everyone through the traditional Japanese Bon dance.”

　デビュー25周年を迎えたTRFのリーダーDJ KOOが、C-POP史上最多のミリオンビューヒットを持つ、マレーシア出身の人気アーティストNameweeと夢の共演。「Tokyo Bon 2020」の世界的ヒットで話題のアジア最大級のインフルエンサーネットワークによるインバウンドプロモーション事業を展開する株式会社Cool Japan TVは、音楽業界を牽引するエイベックス・マネジメントとの共同プロデュースによる、アジア各国の合計2,000万フォロワーを超える人気YouTuberが日本に一堂に集結して撮影を行った、TRF名曲の盆踊りリミックス「BOY MEETS GIRL 2020」のミュージックビデオを発表した。
 
今回のリミックスで新たに聴くことができる、日本語、英語、中国語の多言語で展開されるDJ KOOとNameweeによるラップパートでは、日本のポップカルチャーがアジアを席巻した90年代、マレーシアでJ-POPを聴きながら青春時代を過ごしたと言うNameweeが、憧れのスターであったDJ KOOに「少年と少女のその後の物語は決して平坦な道のりではなかったこと」を訴え、それに対してDJ KOOは「傷ついた分だけ強く優しくなれる、人生の宝探しをこれからも続けて行こう」とオリジナルの歌詞「出会いこそ人生の宝探し」を引用して応え、かつての少年と少女たちに応援のメッセージを送っている。

クライマックスの盆踊りでは、今や世界で最も知られている日本人アーティストとなったピコ太郎がサプライズの友情出演。DJ KOOが今回のテーマとして掲げた「One Asia, One World」に共鳴して集まったアジア各国の人気YouTuberと共に、加賀百万石の文化を継ぐ石川県金沢市にて100年の歴史を持つ創作日本舞踊孝藤流の家系に生まれ、日本を代表する舞踊家として活躍する孝藤右近の振り付けによる盆踊りを踊っている。又、オリンピックの金メダリスト清水宏保、avexの後輩アーティストcallme、協賛・協力企業モーリーファンタジーのララも駆けつけて参加している。

映像中には、本作の初公開の舞台となったフランス・パリの “Japan Expo 2018” での15,000人の熱狂的な観客を前にしたライブパフォーマンスの様子も織り交ぜられており、DJ KOOは「東京オリンピックへ向けて、日本が世界から注目を集める中、日本の伝統文化である盆踊りを楽しんでいただくことを通じて、日本の魅力を世界に発信して行きたい」と語っている。
