Yummy yumm Vegetarian Japanese Curry Pasta! 😋🥘✨
Today I’m gonna share this, an easy Japanese Curry recipe with House Kari ala Jepang Authentic Japanese Curry Roux. It is Halal Japanese product and comes in two variants which are Original & Spicy. I’m gonna use the original flavour for my recipe.
[ Cooking time ] approx. 20mins
For 2 pax, you will need
[ Ingredients ]
2 servings of House Kari ala Jepang Japanese Curry Roux
160g pasta
2 eggs
1 potato
1 carrot
½ broccoli
½ pack shimeji mushroom
Some cherry tomatoes
Butter, salt, olive oil, black pepper
[ Instructions ]
1.First, boil the eggs to make hard boiled eggs.
2.Add the broccoli, salt, olive oil to the boiled water for 3-4mins.
3.Add the pasta, salt, olive oil to the boiled water for 10-12mins.
4.Heat the butter, add in Shimeji mushroom and stir-fry until fragrant and soft, set a side.
5.Heat the butter, add in the diced carrots and potatoes, add water and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until ingredients are tender, approx. 8mins.
6.Turn the heat off, break House Kari ala Jepang Japanese Curry Roux to pieces, add into saucepan and blend. Cook over low heat until curry thickens, approx. 2-3mins.
7.Serve over pasta and topped with broccoli, cherry tomatoes and sliced eggs.

Ingredients for serving 2
: 300g Tofu (Cotton)
: 250g ground pork
: 150g onion (minced)
: 2 tsp flour
: 1 tbsp curry powder
: 1 tbsp soy sauce
: 1 tbsp bulldog brand sauce (Woocestershire sauce for substitute)
: 5 - 10g ginger (grated or minced)
: 5 - 10g garlic (grated or minced)
: 200ml canned tomato
For curry pan, use a little thick sliced bread. If curry sauce is too soft, add a little starch mixture to thicken while mixing with low heat.

This recipe is for those who cannot get curry roux (curry sauce mix) but want to make Japanese Karē Raisu (Curry Rice) at home.
Also it is way healthier than using the roux since I didn't use any greasy fat ingredient!!!
Vegetarian people can skip the meat ;)

Japanese Curry Rice From Scratch
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 45min
Number of servings: 4
Ingredients:
300g (10.6oz.) lean pork
A
* salt and pepper
* 1/2 tbsp. curry powder
2 potatoes (300g=10.6oz.)
1/2 carrot (150g=5.3oz.)
1 onion (200g=7oz.)
600ml water
consomme cube (or bouillon cube) to make 600ml soup
B
* 1 clove chopped garlic
* 1 tbsp. chopped ginger
* 50ml red wine (you have no choice but skip it if you can't consume it)
* 1 tbsp. curry powder
* 1 bay leaf
C
* 1 tbsp. ketchup
* 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
* 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 potato (150g=5.3oz.)
salt and pepper
cooked rice
Directions:
1. Cut pork into bite-size pieces, then season with A.
2. Cut 2 (300g=10.6oz.) potato and carrot into bite-size pieces. Cut onion into wedges.
3. Place water and consomme cube (crushed) in a pot. Put on the heat, when the consomme cube has dissolved, add B and mix well. Then add the vegetables (2.) and bring to a boil.
4. Add the pork, remove the foam if necessary, add C, then cover and cook on medium for about 20 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, grate 1 (150g=5.3oz.) potato.
6. Season with salt and pepper. Then add the grated potato (5.) and cook until the soup thickens.
7. Serve the curry on a hot bed of rice.
