To all my followers and friends:
Last night was the DARKEST night we had in HK. What happened went beyond having different political views and what the statement from the HK government simply put, the incident in Yuen Long was "confrontations and injuries".
To me, it is a TERRORIST ATTACK in HK.
I am deeply shocked by the fact that HK police was not seen anywhere in this more than 30-minute skirmish; the police made ZERO arrests last night saying "no weapons were found"; MTR (Mass Transit Railway) stopped the train and asked the commuters to leave the train while hundreds of armed THUGs dressed in white were on the platform with sticks and weapons in their hands; A HK lawmaker Junius Ho praised the assailants as his heroes; our chief executive put a defaced national emblem before this massive bloodshed.
Today, I have seen many concerned parents picking up students in secondary schools; A hurried server snatched my lunch tray once I finished because she told me most shops and offices would either be closed or release employees early from work to avoid the rumored further attacks later today; many people have flocked to the market to stock up extra food and essential items; People in the lobby discussed that we should not wear White or Black because the mob would target us and beat us up. I can feel the profound gravity of fear. Everyone in this city is in TERROR.
We HKers are suffering. But we don't suffer in silence. I call on the world to watch how bad we suffer in exchange for democracy. I ask you to share this news with your friends and relatives to tell them how HK has changed. I most importantly want all of you to stay safe and sensible. This is not to spread hate or animosity but we need to let the world know what is exactly going on in this place that we love and call home. We call for JUSTICE, which used to be served in Hong Kong.
