今日は、仕事のノウハウみたいなではなくて、僕が今、一番熱を入れている映画『えんとつ町のプペル』のお話をしたいと思います。

僕は、もともと漫才師としてスタートして、漫才を書いていて、自分を育ててくれた師匠と呼べる人が「後藤ひろひと」という劇作家ですから、舞台の脚本も書いていて……
そこから絵本作家に転職して、絵を描いて、ストーリーを描いて、で、絵本の曲も作るんですね。
あの「♪ハロハロハロハロウィン」って曲を作った人です。

劇場の楽屋に小道具のギターがあるもんですから、空き時間に触っているうちに、ギターが弾けるようになりました。

そんな感じで仕事をしているので、映画『えんとつ町のプペル』における僕の役割は、「原作・脚本・製作総指揮・宣伝・作詞作曲」という忙しいことになっています。



このことを受けて、時々、「ゴーストライターがいるんでしょ！」と時々言われるんです（笑）

これに関しては、「西野がこんなに素晴らしいものを作れるハズがない」という意味なので、褒め言葉でしかないのですが、残念ながら、僕、ゴーストライターなんていないんです。

　
分業している場合は、「分業しています」と公表しています。
その方がいいんですよ。
いろんなクリエイターさんに「西野の仕事に参加したい」と思ってもらった方が得なので、絶対に、その人の名前を出す。

出さない場合もありますが、それは出すべきではない場合です。

たとえば、三日前にYouTubeチャンネルにアップした『えんとつ町のプペル』の動画の備考欄には、歌詞の他に、「歌、作詞作曲、編曲、振付」のスタッフの名前しか入っていません。

照明さんや美術さんや衣装さんの名前は入っていないんですね。
あくまで、あそこは音楽に関する情報を載せる場所として位置付けているので。

関わったスタッフの名前を全員書いてしまったら、８０人ぐらいになっちゃう。

ああいった、いわば「CM」の場合は、基本、スタッフの名前は載せません。
テレビCMの最後に「ディレクター＝○○」と出ないのと同じです。



ただ、ストーリーを書いたり、音楽を作ったりする場合、僕には「ゴーストライター」と呼ばれる人はいません。

珍しいパターンだと思いますが、こと「ビジネス書」においても、僕はライターを雇っていません。
自分で書いた方が圧倒的に早くて、自分の仕事が減るからです。

パフォーマンスでも何でもなくて、５万部売れるビジネス書でよければ、５〜６時間で書けます。
すでに自分の中にある体験と考察を文字起こしするだけなので。



「キー！」となるかもしれませんが、「ゴーストライターだろ！」と言っちゃたり、思っちゃったりする人が、コンパしたり、ナンパしたり、家族旅行に行ったり、ワイドショーを観てタレントの不倫にとやかく言ったり、何も考えずにボケーっと受験勉強している間、僕は、一つでも踏み誤ると死んでしまう戦場でずっと戦ってきました。
かれこれ２０年ほど、平均労働時間は１９時間です。

でもって、この２０年というのは、「勝ちパターンを捨て続けた２０年」で、コツを掴んだ職は、どんどん捨てて、新しい領域に挑戦し続けた２０年です。

なもんで、能力と知識量に圧倒的な差が生まれるのは当たり前の話で、僕は「努力は報われる」ということを言っていきたいので、ここは隠したくありません。

反則技を使っているわけでも何でもなくて、「キミの１０００倍努力してるから、キミの１０００倍の結果を出しているんだよ」というだけの話だと思っています。

　
そして、この現実を受け入れず、「いやいや、ドーピング的な…何か特別な力が働いているに違いない」という思ってしまっているうちは、一生始まらないまま人生が終わっちゃうので、それが嫌なら受け入れてください。


「僕、こんな努力をしてますよ」と自分から言う奴、なかなかいないと思うのですが、いい機会なので言っておきます。

　
今日も映画『えんとつ町のプペル』のアフレコがあるわけですが、そこでは、声優さんから質問があったり、「ここは、こんな感じでお願いします」と指示を出さなきゃいけない。

なので、家で「指示を出す練習」をしていくんです。
自分も、実際にやれるようにしておく。

誰もいない海にでた」



これは主人公の少年の父親が、自作の紙芝居を披露するシーンのセリフなのですが、今、僕は何かを見ながら書いたわけではなくて、これぐらいは暗記してるんです。
指示を出す人間として、これぐらいは。

これって、「何回もやっているうちに覚えた」という類のものなので、才能とかセンスじゃないじゃないですか。

これがプロです。

【キンコン西野、HYDE愛を語る】

今日は大切なお知らせが二つございます。

個人的にメチャクチャお気に入りの一枚で、今日は、この絵のことを少しだけ説明させていただきます。

主人公のプペルとルビッチが煙突の上に座って、上を向いているのですが、「上を向く」というのが今作のテーマでもあるんですね。

劇中、高いところが苦手な煙突掃除屋の少年のルビッチ君が、ハシゴを登る時に下を見ちゃうシーンがあります。
下を見ると、体重が後ろにかかるもんですから、立てかけてあるハシゴが揺れるんですね。

それに対して、下で見守っていたルビッチ君のお父さんの「ブルーノ」さんが、「下を見るから揺れるんだ。上を見ろ」とアドバイスするわけですが、これはハシゴに引っ掛けた世の理で、僕らは上を向いている時は体力的に少々大変でも頑張れる。

それこそコロナなんて「来月終わります」と言ってもらえたら、その希望をオカズに１ヶ月ぐらいの貧乏は我慢できる。

だけど、コロナの場合は「いつ終わるか分からない」という、「希望が取り除かれた状態」だから、精神的にかなりグラついてしまう。ともすれば鬱っぽくなる。

そう考えると、「希望」というのは、僕らが生きていく上で必要なもので、「上を見る理由」を提供することは僕ら表現者の仕事の一つでもあるなぁと思いました。

　
映画『えんとつ町のプペル』は来年公開に延期する話も上がったのですが、「いやいや、今年公開しよう！」とワガママを言いました。
大変なのは百も承知で、だけど、だからこそ、皆と同じように大変な中で頑張って、頑張って頑張って結果を出す。

その姿を見せることができたら、「ああ、こんな中でも死ぬ気で努力すれば活路が見いだせるんだな」と思ってもらえて、誰かの規模になることができるなぁと思って、今年公開に踏み切りました。

んでもって、大切なお知らせの二つ目です。

昨夜、YouTubeの生配信で喋ったのですが、HYDEさん愛が爆発してしまって１時間近く喋っちゃったので、あたらめて短くまとめます。

映画『えんとつ町のプペル』のオープニング主題歌「ハロウィンパーティ プペルver.」の配信が開始されました。

HYDEさんが子供達と歌っているのですが、これ、本当にビックリするぐらいカッコイイので、一度聴いてください。
僕は昨夜から、かれこれ２０回ぐらい聴いています。



こちらの楽曲は、もともと２０１２年頃に発表されていたんです。

それが、もう、とっても素敵で……まもなく、日本にもハロウィンが一つの文化として根付いて、その後、様々なハロウィンソングが世に出てきたのですが、僕個人的には、この楽曲を超える「ハロウィンソング」には出会わなかったんですね。

やっぱりブッちぎりだったんです。



映画『えんとつ町のプペル』のオープニングシーンの脚本を書くときも、後ろにずっとこの曲を流していて、この曲に引っ張られるようにオープニングを書いたんですね。

で、いよいよ「オープニング曲の制作をしよう」という段階に差し掛かった時に、「いや、ちょっと待てよ」と。

２０１２年から、HYDEさんの「ハロウィンパーティ」を超える曲が出てこなくて、んでもって、そもそも「ハロウィンパーティー」を流しながら、この曲に合うように本を書いてしまっている。
この条件で、「ハロウィンパーティーを超える曲なんて作れるんだっけ？」と思ったんですね。

というわけで、「一旦、ダメ元で、HYDEさんに、この曲を使わせていただけるか、お願いしてみよう」と。で、「ダメだったら、頑張って作ろう」ということで、話がまとまったんです。



やっぱり、「イイものはイイ」ので。

変にエゴをこじらせて、何でもかんでも「自分でやる」とするのではなくて、素晴らしいものにあやかれるのなら、あやかった方がイイ。
それが製作総指揮の仕事だなぁと思ったんです。

で、ダメ元で、HYDEさんにお願いしたところ、これが本当に本当にありがたいことに、なんとHYDEさんが、そもそも『えんとつ町のプペル』のファンでいてくださって、快く「オッケー」をくださったんです。

こんなにありがたいことはありません。

そして、もっとありがたいのはここからです。
ここから僕のHYDE愛が爆発するのですが……映画館で流すとなると規格も変わりますし、さらには前後の音楽とのバランスもあって、今回、「ハロウィンパーティー」を映画用にアレンジする必要があったんですね。


そこからのHYDEさんが本当に最高すぎたのですが、HYDEさんったら、楽曲を提供して終わりじゃないんです。

「えんとつ町」には、こういう音は鳴らない」とか「煙の中から聴こえてくる音は、こっちだ」といった感じで、映画用のアレンジを本当にトコトン付き合ってくださったんです。

テレビのインタビューだと「オッケー、オッケー」といった軽い感じで受けて、サクッとやりました感が出ていますが、どっこい、皆さんが思われている「トコトン付き合う」の５倍ぐらいトコトン付き合ってくださった。

歌詞も若干変わってるんです。

もともと歌詞の中に、「月明かり」というワードがあったのですが、「えんとつ町」は煙に覆われて空を知らない町なので、月も知らないので、「月明かり」が「薄明かり」になっていたり、その他にも、えんとつ町にあるハズがないものは歌詞から省いて、えんとつ町仕様に変えてくださったんです。

んで、また、子供の声との相性が抜群！
ロックミュージシャンと子供が、メチャクチャイイ感じに融合している。

　
一言でいうと、「HYDEさんが好きだ」ということです。



学生時代、僕はアルバイトで、ラルク・アン・シエルさんのコンサートスタッフをさせていただいたんです。

スタッフはステージに背を向けて、お客さんの方を見なきゃいけないのですが、両耳は全部ステージの方を向いていて、実は、その時のライブに、まだ出会う前の梶原君も来ていて、僕はスタッフとして、梶原君はお客さんとして、ラルクさんのライブに参加させていただいたんです。

ときどき梶原君と、その話になるのですが、あの日、あのライブを観て、ステージ上のラルクさんを観て感じたことは、僕も梶原君も全く同じで、僕らが目指したのは「お笑い」だったのですが、もうちょっと大きな枠として捉えた時に、「いつか、あっち側に行ってみたいな」と思ったんです。

なんか、本当にキラキラしていた。

コンサートの撤収でパイプ椅子とかを片付けながら、「あっち側に行きたい」と、ずっと思っていました。



なので、今回、こういった形でご一緒させていただくことになったのは、あの日の自分の希望でしかなくて、もしタイムマシン的なものがあれば、あの日に戻って「お前、メチャクチャ頑張ったら、いけるぞ」と彼に言ってやりたいです。



まぁ、とにかく、HYDEさんが映画『えんとつ町のプペル』用に作り直してくださった「ハロウィンパーティー」が本当に、本当に最高なので、是非、聴いてみてください。

　
あと、とはいえ「いただきっぱなし」は気持ちが悪いので、今回、お力を貸してくださったHYDEさんに対して、また、HYDEさんをずっと支えてくださったファンの皆様、スタッフの皆様に対して、僕なりの恩返しはさせていただきます。

Just like we promised, presenting the first single from the all-new K-Pop girl group mixxxUP! ‘HOT (Lu La La)’ is the debut original single of members Lara a.k.a ‘Single Lady V’, Esther a.k.a ‘E-Z-E’, and Erica, a.k.a ‘Mizz Jones’. Writing lyrics is no easy feat, but they even asked me to write Korean lyrics! I don’t even know what the company was thinking! And then Erica kept messing up during recording, and Esther’s gangsta attitude scared all the backup dancers away too, it was a nightmare. During the production process, I kept thinking to myself: ‘Are we really suitable to take the leap and form a K-Pop girl group?’ But at the end of it all it seemed like a good choice, the fans keep nagging me to release a new song, so don’t say that I, Lara Liang Veronin didn’t keep my promise. I never said what kind of single, so here you go!”

今作アルバムは、2018年11月にGoose houseを巣立ちPlay.Gooseを結成したコアメンバー4人（工藤秀平、マナミ、沙夜香、ワタナベシュウヘイ）が、過去にメンバーと共に生み出してきた曲で伝えたかったことへの現時点での“答え”（answer）を自ら表現していく、という思いが詰まった作品。『∞ Answers』のビジュアルでもある「84」を横に倒したようなマークには、Goose house時代にできなかった「83回目のYouTubeライブ」にけじめをつけ、「84」回のその先へと向かう決意、そして「無限大（∞）」と、4人がソロ活動などバラバラな方向を向いていても、4人揃えば無限の世界を進む道標としての「羅針盤（4）」になる、という意味が込められている。

その他にも、Play.Goose結成後まもなくリリースされた初オリジナル曲「Play this song」や、ブライダルジュエリー専門ブランド『アイプリモ』のCMソング「プロポーズ 2019」などが収録。一部楽曲では、SMAPの「オレンジ」「Triangle」などの作詞作曲で知られる市川喜康と、一青窈の「ハナミズキ」などで知られるマシコタツロウをプロデューサーとして迎え、新しい音楽表現に挑んだ。

一個孩子在萬聖節迷意外發現森林中怪物們舉辦的宴會。
躲在草叢裡窺視著的他，因受派對熱鬧絢爛吸引，忍不住加入怪物們的派對，
但在玩樂到一半時，不小心臉上的面具掉落，被怪物們發現了他是個人類。
周圍的怪物們都盯著自己，露出詭異的笑顏，孩童嚇的拔腿狂奔回家，
但打開家門，母親卻嚇的對著他尖叫，把他趕了出去，
他這才發現自己因為吃了怪物的食物，也變成了怪物，且已經無法發出人類說話的聲音，他再也無法回歸以往的生活。
