Had the pleasure of visiting HANS IM GLÜCK German Burgergrill yesterday afternoon. Heard so much about their beef burgers and it was a different thing altogether finally tasting it!
Being a cheese lover through and through, I already had my eyes set on the Käse & Speck Juicy Beefy Burger. Topped it up with sourdough bread instead of multi-grain but if you’re carb-conscious, you can opt for the “naked” (no burger) option!
Burger arrived within 5 minutes, with a thick juicy beef patty, cheddar cheese and generous strips of bacon. Also, had some sweet potato fries on the side to go along with my main! Overall, I really liked how the burger tasted. The beef was well done, the cheese was thick, the bacon was crisp. Sweet potato fries tasted so good with my favorite orange sauce (they also offer chilli, vegan mayonnaise and BBQ sauce). However, if you’re one with small appetite you may wanna consider excluding the side dish!
My pretty beverage? Oh! That one’s called Sommerwind, a combination of juices with elderflower and lemon. I could only finish half a glass on my own (it is huge!). If you don’t have that much of a sweet tooth, it might be pretty hard to gulp up the entire glass.
And a funny incident happened. I thought “steak fries” referred to beef fries and I ordered some to try. However, what arrived was potato fries (flat, stick version) and that was when I realised my misconception. Haha! Silly me! Gentle note up here for everyone who’s intending to try, “steak fries” refer to potato fries, not meaty fries! 😝
