Hôm nay con gái út Yênli gọi từ bên Anh về để báo cho mẹ biết em sẽ không về thăm nhà trong mùa nghỉ Giáng Sinh năm nay. Khi trở vào nhập học, em phải thi ngay nên em muốn ở lại trường học luôn.
Nhưng vì ở lại trường em mới để ý là trường có quá nhiều giường trống (khoảng 6000 giường) khi các học sinh ở nội trú về nhà trong dịp lễ. Bên cạnh đó có quá nhiều người vô gia cư (homeless) sống lê lết ngoài đường chết cóng qua đêm vì không chịu nỗi cái lạnh nhất là khi có gió... brrrrrrrrr... phải nói là lạnh “thấu xương”!! Thống Kê cho thấy mỗi mùa Noel bên Anh trung bình có tới 55 người chết rét vì không có một nơi ấm để ngủ.
Thấy cảnh bất công thương tâm này Yênli và một nhóm bạn đang làm một thỉnh nguyện thư gửi đến nhà trường xin phép cho học sinh cái quyền tự nguyện nhường giường hoặc phòng của mình cho một kẻ “homeless” đến ở trong khi mình về thăm gia đình.
Các bạn ai đang ở nước Anh làm ơn ký cái “petition” nay giúp các cháu. Nên nhớ phải là người đang sống bên Anh và có postal code của UK mới được ký.

Khi nói tới chuyện con cái học hành, câu người ta thường hỏi là “Cháu đang học ngành gì?” Thật ra đối với Kd, con học ngành gì cũng được, cái quan trọng nhất là con học làm người. Học chia sẻ, nâng đỡ và thương yêu... hôm nay mẹ Duyên rất hãnh diện vì con. 🙂
There are over 6,000 student rooms in university and most are empty over the holidays because students go home. We made a petition to include an option for students to offer their beds to the homeless during Christmas vacation. There’s over 55 deaths on average in the homeless community due to freezing! If you live in the UK please help us spread the warmth this Christmas by signing this petition.

Can I eat a medal..?? Today I got a chance to run in Krungsri Ayutthaya Kizuna Ekiden 2018. Today is my first marathon with Rina san, Miori, and P' Can..so much fun. Ayutthaya, world heritage, is a very beautiful place so if you want to go for some vacation, ayutthaya can be one of your choice.

Chinese Fried Rice is a simple and yet difficult to master dish but once you get the hang of it, you can fry this super yummy easy meal anytime.
This is our Din Tai Fung inspired Shrimp Fried Rice. In case you haven't heard about Din Tai Fung, it is a chain of restaurants originating in Taiwan. Back in 1993, New York Times ranked them as the Top 10 Best Restaurants in the World. In 2010, the restaurant's first branch in Hong Kong at Tsim Sha Tsui was awarded one Michellin star and their second branch at Causeway Bay was also recommended by Michellin Guide. Although Din Tai Fung is known to specialise in xiao long bao (Chinese steamed dumplings), their egg fried rice with pork chop is also really popular amongst diners. Of course that includes us :). We actually stood outside DTF kitchen to figure out what ingredients were used. Opps - I hope we won’t be banned from Din Tai Fung because that’d be tragic. Whenever we dine at Din Tai Fung, fried rice is one of our must-order dishes but instead of ordering shrimp fried rice, we always go for their pork chop fried rice. OMG so good! I'll get Roland to show you how to prepare their pork chop next time.
Many different cuisines such as Indonesian, Malay, Japanese, Thai etc today all have their own version of fried rice but did you know that fried rice was actually first developed during the Sui Dynasty in China? This means that all variety of fried rice available in the market today can actually trace their origins back to Chinese Fried Rice.
Sorry I digressed...Back to this recipe - if you don't like prawns, please feel free to omit it.

How to prepare prawns before pan-frying

8 - 10 pieces of mid size prawns - deshelled & deveined
1 teaspoon of sugar
0.5 teaspoon of baking soda
Enough water to cover prawns
Some ice cubes

4 cups of cooked Jasmine rice (250ml cup size)
1.5 teaspoon of chicken stock powder

So here's the truth about why I've been hiding my boyfriend ?? he doesn't exist
Also, sorry about wearing sunglasses and a mask towards the end – it was one of those days where you just wake up feeling ugly n unconfident ? but I still wanted to film to complete the video in time for April Fools!
