There is one kind of happy called, I just want to make you "HAPPY“.
And I had witnessed this kind of HAPPY from my parents in law.
The other day Dre and I had a lunch gathering with them. After a plate of golden and crispy french fries been delivered to us, everyone was devouring it except mum in law.
I don't like my food is swimming in sauce. She said.
I took a look at a plate, and yes, all the fries were covered by lots of wasabi mayonnaise. I then suggested her to take the bottom ones, perhaps, they were have less sauces. But no chance, she said they were all the same.
I don't like my food is covered by sauce. She said again. By then, we were all busy having our conversations, no one really paid any attention to her comment. In saying that, we could still hear her mumbling.
10 minutes later, a waiter suddenly delivered a basket of fresh fries which it didn’t have any sauce on it, no one made any comments, we were just eating, talking and laughing.
But in my heart, I knew, I had just witnessed LOVE.
Dad in law went to order a brand new basket of fries just for his wife.
On the way back home, I told Dre what his dad did for his mum was so lovely. He laughed and said, dad just didn't want to hear mum says “I don't like my food cover with sauce” the 6th times. 😂 No big deal!
Well, at least he is LISTENING, isn't it? I said. And to me, there is one kind of happy called, I just want to make you "HAPPY“.
Thanks to my parents in law, they let me witnessed it.💜

有一種快樂，叫做我只要你快樂
公公婆婆的角色，常常讓我想起日劇時代，女人亦步亦趨地服侍著丈夫。男人遠庖廚這句話，我想公公是最合適的代言人。兩人從高中時代認識，應該也快50年了，但大男人主義十足的公公，那天做了一件事，所有人都覺得微不足道，但，對我而言，是小但深刻的愛。
話說，那天我們聚餐時，點了一份薯條，但店家把含了哇沙比的美乃滋醬整個淋在上面，這對婆婆來說，是big No No！ 她最討厭這種湯湯水水、醬淹沒了食物的吃法了。
愛lief～ 我不喜歡這個薯條，然後大皺眉頭！ 天啊，完全陶先生翻版。（婆婆都叫公公lief，也就是南非語『愛』的意思。）
我這時打圓場說，下面的可能沒有沾到醬。但婆婆說，還是有，她都檢查過了。
lief～ 我不喜歡這個薯條，婆婆又講了一次。
這時因為公公在跟陶先生說話，所以他沒有馬上回答。
之後，婆婆，又自言自語地講了三次，我不想醬在薯條上。
但因為，我在拍照，他們兩個人在說話，所以，婆婆只好吃別的東西。
過了十分鐘後，服務生突然端上一籃全新小份的薯條。公公還是什麼都沒有說，繼續跟他兒子講話。婆婆這時，開心的吃了起來了。
我在旁邊感動的要死，但全部的人都一副好像沒事發生一樣。
回程時我跟陶先生說，你爸今天做了一件讓我很感動的事，然後，我把薯條的整個事件告訴他。
他居然說： 矮油，我爸只是不想要繼續聽我媽講第六次『我不想醬在薯條上』，所以才去幫她再點一份啦，哪有什麼大不了的。
什麼！！！ 這還沒大不了！！！ 我每次跟你說話，我都不敢重複兩次以上，不然，你一定會給我一個大『賽』💩臉，但是，你知道你媽講了五次耶，他居然連眉毛都沒有挑一下，就默默地去幫老婆再點一份。重點是，他還故意點『小份』的，因為他知道婆婆的胃比小鳥還小。
這還沒什麼了不起，你們說，公公有沒有很棒棒，需不需要給他拍拍手！ 👏👏👏👏
