ในตอนนี้ทาง Behaviour Interactive ผู้พัฒนา Dead by Daylight ก็ได้ประกาศเปิดตัว DLC ใหม่ เพื่อฉลองตัวเกมครบรอบ 4 ปี แล้ว นั่นคือ Dead by Daylight: Silent Hill ที่เป็นการนำ Pyramid Head ตัวละครอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของซีรีส์ Silent Hill เข้ามาเป็นฆาตกรโดยใช้ชื่อ The Executioner และ Heather Mason จาก Silent Hill 3 เข้ามาเป็นผู้รอดชีวิต

แต่สิ่งที่หลายคนสงสัยมากที่สุดคือ ทำไม Konami เจ้าของสิทธิ์ตัวละครในซีรีส์ Silent Hill ถึงยอมยกลิขสิทธิ์ตัวละครเหล่านี้ มาให้ทาง Behaviour มาใส่ในเกมของตัวเอง?

ทาง IGN ได้สัมภาษณ์คุณ Mathieu Cote ผู้กำกับ Dead by Daylight และสอบถามว่าการร่วมมือครั้งนี้เกิดขึ้นได้อย่างไร ซึ่งคุณ Cote อธิบายว่า ทาง Behaviour มีเส้นสายกับทาง Konami อยู่แต่แรกแล้ว เพราะทาง Konami ก็คือผู้ที่ทำหน้าที่จัดจำหน่ายแผ่นเกม Dead by Daylight ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นนั่นเอง

"พวกเรามีเส้นสายบางส่วนกับทาง Konami เพราะพวกเขาเป็นผู้จัดจำหน่ายแผ่นเกม Dead by Daylight อย่างเป็นทางการในประเทศญี่ปุ่น ดังนั้น พวกเราจึงรู้จักกับทีมงานบางส่วนอยู่แล้ว"

หลังจากที่ติดต่อกับทาง Konami แล้ว Cote กล่าวว่า "ทั้ง 2 ฝ่ายเห็นพ้องต้องกันว่ามันเหมาะสมมากๆ" ที่จะนำ Silent Hill มาจับมือกันกับ Dead by Daylight พร้อมกล่าวว่า ในตอนที่ Behaviour จะติดต่อเป็นพาร์ทเนอร์กับใคร ตัวละครใหม่จะต้องเหมาะสมกับ "กฎ" ของ Dead by Daylight ตั้งแต่แรกด้วย

"ในกรณีนี้ พวกเราไม่จำเป็นต้องไปเปลี่ยนแปลงอะไรมากนักกับตัวละคร [Silent Hill] เหล่านี้ เพื่อให้มันเข้ากับจักรวาลในเกมของเรา"

Dead by Daylight: Silent Hill เปิดให้ทดลองเล่นแล้วใน Public Test บน Steam และจะวางจำหน่ายอย่างเป็นทางการ ในวันที่ 16 มิ.ย. นี้

Now Behaviour Interactive, Dead by Daylight developer has announced the new DLC to celebrate the 4th anniversary game. That's Dead by Daylight: Silent Hill that brings Pyramid Head, the unique character of Silent Hill series. The Executioner and Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 is a survivor.

But what many people wonder the most is why Konami, the owner of the character in Silent Hill series, would like to bring these characters in their own game?

IGN interviewed Mr. Mathieu Cote, director dead by Daylight and asked how this collaboration happened, which Mr. Cote explains how the Behaviour has a line with Konami because Konami is the one who distributor of Dead by. Daylight in Japan

" We have some strings with Konami because they are the official Dead by Daylight gaming distributor in Japan, so we already know some of the team
Cote says

After contacting Konami, Cote said "All 2 parties agree that it is very suitable" to bring Silent Hill to hold hands with Dead by Daylight and say that Behaviour will contact as a partner with anyone, the new character must be suitable. With Dead by Daylight's "rule" in the beginning.

"In this case, we don't have to change much with these [ Silent Hill ] characters in order for it to match our game"

Dead by Daylight: Silent Hill is now open on Public Test on Steam and will be officially available on 16 June. Oh, my God. Here we go.
