Enjoyed catching up with Eurasian leaders at lunch today. The Eurasian Association, Singapore has a long history. It has been serving the community, preserving and promoting the Eurasian culture, for 98 years!
The Eurasians inherit a rich heritage, a unique fusion of European and Asian cultures. They comprise less than 1% of Singapore’s population, but they have many contributions and achievements in the arts, sports, business, and politics. Joseph Schooling’s Olympic Gold medal is just the latest example.
I congratulated them on the recent launch of their book “Singapore Eurasians: Memories, Hopes and Dreams” (http://bit.ly/2kMoqMI). Hope more Singaporeans will learn about the Eurasians through the personal stories narrated in the book. – LHL
